In Glasgow there is a large office of the Department of Work and Pensions where people with disabilities are assessed to decide if they are fit for work. There are different doors for ingress and egress. The locals have given the office a name: Lourdes.

Wimbledon: 10 minute breaks for female players in heat, but not the men: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... g-dry.html
So nothing to do with sexism just that the WTA (womens professional organisation) have said their players can take a break and the ATP (mens professional organisation) haven't. Usual Daily Mail storm in a misleading headline teacup.Gullscorer wrote:Wimbledon: 10 minute breaks for female players in heat, but not the men: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... g-dry.html

Wimbledon adheres to the official rules agreed upon by the International Tennis Federation (ITF), the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) and the Grand Slam Committee, but also enforces some of its own rules that are unique to the tournament. So it beats me how those other organisations would agree this rule for the women but not for the men. Makes you wonder if they were actually consulted.PhilGull wrote: So nothing to do with sexism just that the WTA (womens professional organisation) have said their players can take a break and the ATP (mens professional organisation) haven't. Same goes for equal prize money, when women have to play only three sets instead of five for the men (equal pay for equal work?) but it's men's tennis which generates the big money. But equality and sexism these days seem to be synonyms for female privilege and feminist double standards..
