can't believe there is still people who seem to think we have a chance of survival? I can only assume that these people haven't ever actually seen us play?

i think its more down to the fact that we may know it will happen but we will still believe we can survive because whilst points are available, there is a chance no matter how remote

1. I have a new handle on here. I had an account ages ago but barely used and forgot it.

2. I have supported Torquay since i was born 30 years ago. I have followed the club through thick and thin all over the country in that time.

3. I presented an opinion. Who do you think you are to react like that?

Were either of you at the game today?

my opinion and perception is that she doesn't care. She may own the club but without us fans the club is nothing. To see her like that annoyed me. No thanks, nothing from her. Players and backroom staff alike all came up, spoke to us, apologised and thanked us for our support.

we are all entitled to our opinions and you have no right to react and speak in the manner you have.

well, lets look at your points............

1. you have a new handle? well, congratulations for not remembering the original one.

2. I suppose you are the only one then?? doesnt matter if its 30yrs or 30 days.

3. react? you are talking about the thea - and of course paul - who have saved this club from the mire in the first place. if we didnt have thea and paul previously we wouldnt have a club - or havnt you noticed that?
thea, currently has more reason to be frustrated/p155sed off more than anyone on here or at the club. so if you think that thea doesnt care then you are a plank.

i like how you don't answer whether you went or not.

look at how the ling situation was handled, look at the fact that there appeared to be no proper job application process before appointing knill. Those two decisions meant we ended up with Alan knill who has put us in the position we are in. I stand by my comments and others there today echoed the sentiments. So what is her excuse for not even bothering talking to us after the game? Everyone else took the time to.

until we are mathematically safe or doomed we all have to support the team. Our club needs us.

why dont you sell your house and with the money apply to join the board then.

perhaps then you will know exactly how thea feels.

Perhaps she was embarrassed, didn't know what to say, how it would be received. She is not a lady who has a background in being media savvy, or training in PR. She is an ordinary woman (meant in a positive way) who has been thrust into a situation not of her design. Give her a break.

why does everyone resort to name calling? Are we completely incapable of holding reasoned, mature debates without this? I will ask you the same... Were you there today?
Ah I see you attending today's match means you can say whatever you like regarding the person who has saved this football club! Thanks for clearing that up!

And although ultimately she would have decided is it not up to the rest of board to provide that football knowledge side of things? But hang on there isn't much there, but you blame thea if it makes you feel better

We were not there on a witch hunt. I know Thea has never been comfortable in the limelight but a simple thanks for travelling up would have been nice. A simple yet effective show of appreciation to the fans who turn up and keep the club going. I do see what you are saying hector i just feel ignoring the fans doesn't help.

From this we can conclude all your negative views on her are based on her not personally thanking you for travelling

I agree with Hector although I can also completely understand why Aldershot feels angered and aggrieved. I feel that Thea is not really the kind of woman who would front up to the fans offering platitudes and absorbing criticism. She is probably mortified inside and just didn't know what to do. She isn't media savvy and doesn't come across as confident and that makes her more of a genuine person IMO. She has put cash into the club where others perhaps haven't therefore she deserves respect as I'm sure Aldershot affords. I do agree with Aldershot in terms of the application process issues but as for today I have no qualms with Thea at all.

im glad you do....

we should have in "happier" times then all rushed over at full time and shook pauls hand and given thea a peck on the cheek after every game for putting their money into the club.

Nope. As owner the buck ultimately stops with her. Players on pitch don't perform the manager gets sack. Manager doesn't perform then you have to question the person who hired them. Me going today isn't my reason for being able to question Thea. Being a lifelong fan is. In 2007 the board saved us yes. Problem is in the last 12 months we have descended into being a joke club again.
