[quote="arcadia"]We've now got something to build on hope Chris see's it this way. Lost the game trying to win it but if the spirit stays to the end like today there is a future with Chris Hargreaves.quote]

I do hope so, but I have not seen any improvement in the morale, fighting spirit, confidence, managerial decision making that indicates to me that CH has the skill set required to effectively manage a football club and provide a credible future.

My question to CH on his choice of line up yesterday is : "could you please explain, to a layman, how you saw the inclusion of two strikers (Hawley and Benyon - and I do use the term strikers in its widest possible context) would provide the width and balance to the team to provide a good supply of balls from the bye-line into the box for our 6'5" striker to attack?, Did you had believe that would give us our very best opportunity and was preferable using our 2 desiganted wingers (Chappell and Cameron) and our best chance of scoring would be to leave them on the bench for 75 minutes?"

I realise that is a long question Chris, but you must have had all week to consider the situation.

All manner of comments can, and I am sure will be, made about Showumni's ariel and footballing skills and "could he have scored with his head anyway" etc.etc. - Until we try that approach on a regular basis we may never know.

It's pretty obvious now that Chris wanted to have a go at Fleetwood with a 4-3-3 formation. If you have watched recent games Chapell and Cameron have been inconsistant neither can cross a good ball into the box. He had a choice of Stockley Benyon and Hawley to play with Showumni as Goodwin and Bodin are injured. The best crosser of a ball in the club is Nathan Craig and he's at Dorchester so what do you do. I believe he got nearly the best out of what was available but Craig needs to come back as two wide players are injured and Craig would be better in the formation now we've got Showumni

I think you might know that nearly everyone including myself would all like to be manager and up to about a month ago Chris was in that position as well but now for Chris, it's a reality. When you take over a club there are more problems than just picking a team and Chris is now coming to terms of how hard the job is. The first time you go into management you have a buzz and I expect Chris came out of Saturdays game very frustrated that we did not get anything out of it, after not fielding the side he wanted to play.
Just felt I could help you.
