so you dont blame CH?

even though hes been here since January and signed some sh*t? :@
No, I don't actually. He didn't build the team, set up the losing culture that has only just been shaken off. He hasn't done very well but in my mind it is very clear that Alan Knill, his bloody awful signings, his crap football are what set the scene for our relegation.
then you are deluded.

he had plenty of time to change things...

he loaned in players that didnt play and signed stevens.....

but you dont blame him for any of that.

unbelievable.

In what material way did the signing of Danny Stevens contribute to our relegation?

Hargreaves is a young inexperienced manager who was expected to perform a miracle and keep perhaps the worst Torquay United team up in a long time. He hasn't done particularly well, but he's outperformed his experienced predecessor comfortably.
and there is the reason why he should never have got the job.

I'm not disputing that, but blaming him entirely for making mistakes that pretty much every inexperienced manager makes is unfair. In this case, it is the boards fault for not going for a 'Sturrock' or someone of his experience, they should have been aware that there are ramifications that come with people who have done no more than a few media appearances and managing a reserve side.

I'm backing Hargreaves entirely for next season, even though it was my preference to see an experienced manager take over after Knill. He's shown enough that he's learnt from mistakes.

So, it didn't. Well done you, have a cookie.

We're driving down the motorway, you're driving and I'm riding shotgun. Without warning, I yank on the handbrake and tug on the steering wheel. The car starts to spin, but you have time to wrestle with the steering and the pedals. Sadly, the car crashes in a massive fireball and we're both killed. Whose fault is the accident?

a very valiant effort, three away wins on the trot but all in vain due to that absolutely shocking home form!

imagine we'll win again next weekend and drag wycombe down with us, which is probably the right thing as they'll be less of an obstruction to us than either northampton or the gas

nice try torquay, but the damage was done

lets see if chris can persuade coulthirst, goodwin and cargill to sign for us, if he manages that then he'll go up in my estimation!

fingers crossed that chester stay up, as thats looking like the favourite to replace our annual bristol away weekend!

Have to say getting relegated hasn't hurt me as much as I was expecting, maybe because I've accepted we were going down months ago.

Looks like we'll be having a relegation party next week.

Let's win again next week and keep some good form with us for our conference adventure.

"Experience" is the reason that i blame Knill. He has loads of"experience", but still totally ballsed things up for us We have to get behind CH now. He will be our manager next season, and will hopefully do well. As for Knill, f**k him and f**k Northampton. Part of me would like CH to play a youth side next week, with Stevens at centre half, and hope that Oxford can beat Northampton.
