Big round of applause for everyone who went today..

Edit, starting to think tufcjeff could be a Plymouth fan.
certainly has the right IQ to pass as an inbred

Got the ball turned and ran at the defence, gave a forward pass
Hawley got the ball went backwards and gave a sideways pass
Thought he was crap to be honest.

That quick striker they have (laveray?) looked good though, was all over the place.

Our defence coped in the first half but was shite in the second.

Knill out.

Blimey Jeff, the young gentleman on the back row was on fine form giving us a lovely display of various chants.

Ball was going away from goal so the letter of the law states a yellow for Pokey, which Mr Stroud saw correctly.

Thought Hawley tried hard, and the same with Elliott when he came on. Perhaps a suggestion from left field - no more loaned forwards show a bit of faith to what weve got and give them some confidence. Put Yeoman back in the mix. Could loan a more conventional right winger to give Tonge a little more protection, because at the moment each game he seems to get rinsed by his left winger. Or perhaps loan another centre back if Pearce isnt going to be good enough, hopefully the competition may make Aaron erase these silly errors from his game.

I didn't go today, that is the first time in my life that I have chosen not to go to football to watch my beloved team Torquay United. Why? Because this clueless idiot that is in charge is making our club look even more of a joke than he is. I can't have an opinion of what happened at today's game, but from the reports, it seems like the same old gutless, hopeless and disastrous tripe was there to be seen by the poor 888 Torquay fans who all deserve a medal.

"We can't afford to sack him" don't believe in that anymore, WE CANT AFFORD NOT TO SACK HIM! We are relegation bound and we wont get out of the conference this time.

When we played Plymouth back in November a new member joined directly after the game under the name tufcgaints, he came along wanting to known why we couldn't sign a player like McCormick, and tell us what a great keeper he was.

Directly after todays game, along comes tufcjeff, telling us how good Lavery is, and but licking the Argyle fans, who to be fair at best were awful, Gnome park was like a library until they scored ..only sing when you're winning cobi budge, it is you again, I know it is.

I agree with Simbslimbs. If Knill is to stay, he needs to stop looking to sign forwards in a hope they'll score us enough goals to get out of the mess, and instead address the fact that our defence is all at sea and easy to breach. Yes we struggle to score (or on today's evidence struggle to create even) but we also struggle to defend. Successful teams are built on a strong back 4, start getting that right and then move forward. Too many elementarily mistakes that can be rectified are costing us games.

Can't agree with some of the things being written on here about the people attending.
Even I have decided not to attend again whilst deathknill is in charge massive respect to those that went today.

I've not criticised the people who attended, deserve full credit for paying to see shit, as I did, just wish everybody could at least attempt to make an atmosphere to lift the lads because Knill wont.

Managed to talk my father into coming to the game today. His first game in 8 years, its going to take me another 8 years to get him to see another.

The Poke tackle which he got carded for. It happened right in front of me. Poke ran and clearly got to the ball first and cleared it away, his momentum/follow through or whatever you want to call it collided with there player. End of. Why does that warrant a free kick, a booking. It was 2 players going for the ball and Poke getting there first. I really don't understand it.
That's that off my chest.

I see Hawley coming under some criticism today. I see posters stating that he never passed the ball forwards and always sideways. Because maybe there was no one in front of him to pass too maybe!! No support for him, alone up front what is he supposed to do, he came deep and collected the ball and distributed the ball effectively today. I thought he did ok considering.

I stated on here a month or so ago that i had serious doubts about Downes. Individual errors and basically being left for dead. I am sorry but he is a liability at the moment. The other defenders are struggling enough without having to cover for Downes.

I dont care what anybody says there is no end product with Bodin, no consistency, he gave the ball away today which lead to their first goal.

A good coach could work on this and try and develop these players. I believe that they are not a bad bunch. AK has to take full responsibility because he has transformed them into pure rubbish. Not one player has shown an improvement in his game.

I really cant be bothered to go on saturday.

I'll attend whenever I can get and I will spend money I haven't got, bust a gut to arrange childcare and trust an unreliable car but if I can get i'll be there singing the lads on. I may be an idiot and I feel cheated by Knill and ripped off by the board who probably are all at home drinking Baileys and playing Cluedo or something completely oblivious that their club is going down the pan but I love going to watch Torquay. It is just what happens once you have gone that is the problem. :~D Going is alright though.

I'm Torquay til I die and i'll still be there health permitting even when thick skinned squirrel master has departed. I just wish someone 'clinical' were on the board who had the focus to evaluate, eliminate and reinvigorate as appropriate. If not then at least tell us what the f*ck is going on? That might help? :~D
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

The first time I've been to an away match and credit to all our supporters they were better than the team. Thought we did ok first half but Reid gave Downes a torid time, Knill should have played an anchor man in front of the back four and his job should have been to stop balls being threaded through to him and every time high balls were played we had one player in front and one behind as Downes always stuggles with pace and he need to drop back to stay with someone like Reid. The midfield today were all over the place swapping positions which left Downes and O'Conner exposed and both our fullbacks had off days. The first goal was another mistake and we all know the first goal is the important one in a tight game.
We must support the team on Saturday save any messy bits to after don't knock the players effort. >:( >:(

@ SBP good post!

Some players just need to be coached correctly. When you see O'Conner's technique to winning headers against Downes' style, you can see perhaps a bit of complacency has set in, Aaron is still a decent player and gives it his all. Not sure about Billy's freerole, could scrapping it give us better shape? It was seeming to confuse Mozika no end...
