I'm with Warwick. Teamed up with a 'finishing' forward, Harrold is a decent buy (but would have been a better free transfer!). As for Darren Bent's thoughts of the world, he's no Stephen Hawking, although he might just be able to outpace him in the box as long as it was only over three yards......

I've never seen anything in Harrold, personally. Always struggles aerially, and lacks a goal threat. Apparently Bucks has paid £50k for him, but that isn't from anywhere reliable, just another forum, so who knows if its true; (but if it is... )

buckle is getting like one of those old chavs that wins the lottery. got money in his pocket, and spunking it on sh*te. thank god he didn't have any money at TUFC !!
also goes to show that he had his thoughts elsewhere during the playoffs, or he'd have noticed that harrold was pants.

Isn't it what 'big clubs' with ambitious managers were invented for? To pay over the odds for average players?

Whats even worse is that his previous club paid about 500k only a few weeks before!
Just imagine if Buckle was in charge, probably would've paid about 15 million!

Tim Sills is (rightly) very well thought of around these parts. His lack of goals (in league football) has been defended time and again. Harrold is a similar type - not prolific, but a handful. Allied to a 'poacher' it can be effective. I wonder who Buckle will sign to score the goals?

Surprised he hasn't snapped up Jamie Cureton.

He's tried. Cureton wanted to stay with City, I think. Can't remember though.

You know how on here we love to put 2 and 2 together and get 5?
Well I was just thinking..............
Under Ling at Cambridge was when Chris Holroyd had his best form, prior to his transfer to Brighton. Chris Holroyd is now a free agent following his release from B&HA. I wonder if Ling has been on the phone?

Seems to be linked with Shrews, at the moment, but I certainly wouldn't say no.

Lol. If a striker isn't scoring goals then he is no good. It doesn't matter how hard they work if they can't scrape together 10 goals in a season they are not good enough. And it's not just me saying that, check out the god Darren Bent's interview, "if you are not scoring goals, then what is your purpose?" http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011 ... ston-villa" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Phil, sorry but that is the biggest load of tosh I have ever heard from a football fan. You best go and tell Man City who are trying their hardest to sign Alexis Sanchez to lead their multi million pound teams forward line next season, not to bother. A top top forward who doesnt score many goals at all, but creates bucket loads for his striking partner and team mates. Wiki him and you will see he scores bugger all, his parner however got 28 last season I think.

Eh? Since when is Alexis Sanchez a centre forward? He's a winger, a modern wingery-striker at best. I wouldn't expect him to score that many, the figures of 20 goals in 90 games for Udinese sounds about right from that position.
