You're right happytorq.......286.1% is awful - but kind of understandable in this kind of market.

They obviously make enough money from the "mug" punters who fancy a flutter to pay off the genuine "inside info" - i.e the family and close friends of the manager getting the gig and that of the directors picking him.

A nice betting opportunity if you get the nod and get in quick :~D

not only is there overround 286% but they havent neccesarily even priced up the winner, also when i phoned up and asked for £200 on Sturrock at 5-1 got referred too a trader and told i could only have £50, even though he is still 5-1 they wont lay me any more. worried about this money for Forster as a very good source has told me its sure to be Sturrock!!

Really, smithy?

I don't think I'd be too disappointed with Sturrock. Is your source close to the club?

Alex Russell has soared up the odds a bit even if it is only one or two people betting on him.

If Sturrock does get the job please let it be written into his contract that he is not allowed to bring his son with him as he is a shocking player and was rubbish when on loan with us in the Conference.

I really hope it's not Sturrock. And given that they have just signed Neil Harris of Millwall, I would think that his planning for next season is definately not with us in mind.

Skybets odds are a waste of time. They still have Trollope (who doesn't want it) and Andy Scott (manager of Rotherham) listed.

Look at Victor Chandler...they seem to have the 'shortlist' as we thought it was...Forster had gone from 1/1 to 5/4 last time I looked.

Forster now 1/3 on Victor Chandler with Hughes 2nd at 9/4. Ian Butterworth not on the list yet, whilst Bullen still is, even though he was not on latest 'shortlist' published by Herald Express

A bit annoyed I couldn't get anybody to have a bet with me on Forster, really.

Proof positive - as if it were needed - that betting on next manager markets is a mug's game, even if you think you're in the know.

sorry, SG :)
