Ling is now officially better than PB, remember him? This run is nothing short of a miracle. The loss to Accy before Xmas being our only one in the league for about 4 months or so. Absolutely incredible with the size of our squad and the injuries / suspensions / transfer out / that Martin has had to deal with. I reckon it's easy really and all Martin does is say, 'go out there and win' and then lays back in the dugout with a Hamlet whilst the boys churn out another win. Martin does **** all really! Annoyed that Shrews won as it keeps them in with us but no complaints tonight. I hope to God we don't go into a run of poor form as i am getting excited now that we could , COULD get promoted automatically. It's a reality now and we all want it so much after the heartbreak of last year. Ling would surpass both Buckle AND Leroy for me if this was to happen. So content to be a Gull this evening, it's a sweet feeling. We should seriously be battering Bradford out of sight on saturday which leads on to the Gills game the week after which i must get to even though i get a nosebleed AND paranoia when i go anywhere near London. :scarf:
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

The banter tonight has been well out of order. :red:

We will lose a game eventually and normal service will be resumed accompanied by our alternative poster from north Devon.

Really can't believe what is going on at TQ1 at the moment, keep on thinking we are going to come down to earth with a bump but somehow we keep on grinding out these results. Remarkable achievement.

This is going to be one valentine's nite when my Mrs will be glad I'm a TQY supporter....

I don't think i'm lying when i say we don't get many injuries that affect us. If Damo and Mcphee are affected for a game that means that players injured and out over the course of the season has doubled tonight. With Howe and Saah being the only other 2 we have had. Correct me if i'm wrong. But 4 injuries up to middle of Feb is not bad.

Not going to go for the full match report treatment as I'm sure others will and I have to get home.....

Real backs to the wall performance, wasn't pretty second half but what a resilient bunch we have got. Bobby was only really tested twice second half, they never got in behind us despite huge pressure.

Saah - match saving header off the line at the end, saved a certain goal. Is this really the same player who started so badly for us? Superb. Ellis and Oastler were also outstanding.

McPhee - take a bow. I like most feared the worst when Lathrope went off but Chris did a stellar job, and took a whack to the face for his troubles. Still the odd awful pass, but strong in the tackle and in the air. Great job.

Everyone else worked their socks off, great team effort.

Cheltenhams number 7, Marlon Pack, what a right foot he has. Never seen power and delivery like it. He could teach their number 14 a thing or two about playing football. Cheltenham were a massive "kick and rush" disappointment.

Great win, great vocals from the yellow army. That's 5 trips to Cheltenham for me, three wins two draws! Love coming here!

As it's Valentine's night and a superb result to boot, I wonder if nine months or so from tonight, there will be a baby boom in TQ1. :O

Cheers Jeff for that. It was vital that Brian stepped into Robbo's boots with the minimum of disruption to the defensive unit and he has done just that. This has/will be as key to our success as goals from all over the place and not relying on one main striker. Well done Brian and thanks!
