A telling line from Dave Thomas is that the ref gave us every decision after the pen ....feelings of guilt. ??

Who is this ng gull of whom you speak?

Never our fault. We outplay everybody, we're the greatest team in all the land but we never win because its always those dastardly refs fault. They're all out to get the mighty Torquay United. Hate to break it to you, nobody's out to get us. Nobody cares about us.

But happy new year to you. Miserable internet cranks make life so much more entertaining.

We all know that the officials are not up to it at this level. This **** sent off Ajala at Telford when their manager and his assistant shouted at him. Is it really any suprise he has given them an equaliser with 8000 people on his back? - probably not

well we got a draw. but I still have a feeling we threw away 2 points. I'm not so sure NJ was that far off. we have had a lot of stupid sending's off. Surely no one can excuse some of the dumb things done. yes it might be controversial in this case. and it seems Rovers didn't look as if they were going to score in a week. but when your up top like they are. the luck tends to go their way.
but it's encouraging that we matched them all the way even outplayed them. so it's not all doom and gloom. after all . most of us felt it was a season of rebuilding. promotion is realistically only a hope. we were not really expecting to go up immediately. now that would be an incredible achievement.
So all in all. somewhat disapointed. but better than nothing

Basically had it not been for the officials we would have got four points against Bristol Rovers instead of one.
Probably wouldn't be so hard to take if these decisions had been given by the referee. The fact that neither were actually beggars belief.

That feckin idiot will be on in a minute saying we were crap from start to finish and it was a definate penalty and red card - and Br should have won 9-1

Glostergull - come on noone really knows as we didn't see it but I will say it again the free kick has sailed out for a goal kick. The ref didn't see anything. BR second goal came from a corner when everybody in the ground apart from the ref could see it was a goal kick
The Benyon "equaliser" was given for handball yet the ref who was stood two yards from it didn't see it.
We are denied a winner from an offside goal at Welling which apparently came from a "square pass".
Todays "penalty" was given when neither commentator or it seems the Torquay players had a clue what it was for.
It does tend to piss you off when these sort of decisions are happening every game.

No we didnt see it. thats the point. untill we see it we cant say it was unfair. yes it might turn out to be a dumb penalty. but if it was fair what are you gonna say then. that said. I would be interested in what the rule says in a case where the ball has sailed over without touching anyone. does it have to. and what was the offence that the ref has booked him for.
