Transfer talk.
Well he is nowhere near the standard of Covolan.

Each signing gets a photocall , obviously the reason it is taking so long we only have one shirt.

Ali Omar looks like a no nonsense central defender and he is left footed

Hi Morecambe fan here. Delighted that our former keeper Mark Halstead has signed for you. Surprised he was prepared to move from his Blackpool base .
Had it not been for our former manager Adams who discarded him too quickly it's highly likely that Mark would still be with us as we enter EFL1 for the first time.. Very popular figure with the fans and highly respected throughout the club.
Doesn't smile that much and can look moody at times but he's an excellent 'keeper who will do well for you.

Looks like a decent mix of youth and experience so far and some physicality in the shape of the No1 keeper and centre back. If the midfielders are anywhere near as good as Randell they`ll get a thumbs up. A striker or possibly 2 still to follow ?
I do love non-league transfer talk....'yay we signed someone', followed by 'who is he' and mass googling.

Well that is two hours of my life I will never get back , two top signings in halstead and Lapslie, and three more young potentials, I am more excited by lolos, saw him several times last seasons and he has the potential to be very very good , in fact Lowe said he feels releasing him may come back to haunt him. would like to see an experienced centre half but as we are short of about six or seven faces for a full squad then I am sure Johnson has it in hand.

It feels like some good positive signings today. it’s impossible to compare any of these players to GJ signings of the past or players who have just left.
Had many people heard of Whitfield before he joined or anyone Cameron or Covolan? The proof will be in the performances
. Some won’t work out but I am sure some will be great players for us to be complimented by some good loans and we will do well again.
GJ gets it right more often than not.
In Gary we trust.
