They asked the fans to pick the kit - and that is what they have done. If they wanted the players opinion or wanted to give the players the choice - what was the point of all of this?

It would reflect very badly on the club if they choose not to go with the fans on this!

Democracy must rule!

I would be very surprised shocked if the club changed from design "G" as said the choice was given to the fans and the fans have spoken, all I said was I think the choice should have been given to the playing squad and not us fans, and the final decision should be made by the players who have to wear it, just a good old opinion.

Also I normaly do buy the kit, it is likely that I will not buy Shirt " G " so it will save me money..

Forever - firstly, I doubt we're in a position to tell Sondico what we want some time during the summer. The point about who will still be here next season is a broader one, too. As fans we were here before Ling and the players, and will be after they've left, too. I'm sure most of them would rather they didn't play for a club with a yellow strip, but tough!

The players' responses on Twitter were anything but unanimous, anyway: Mansell liked E; Jarvis G; Bodin and Macklin hated all of them and wanted a Nike kit to match their hideous luminous boots. The fan vote was definitely the right idea. After all, it's the fans that buy replica shirts, not the players!

Realistically this cannot be done now and in reality - the most important person to any club is the fan.
Financially speaking it is better to find a shirt which the fans are going to spend money on and I applaud the club for this approach.

If the club wanted players input it should have been at the beginning of the process and if this occurs at this stage it would be a complete kick in the face to overall fan base of the club.

It's a great idea from the club getting the fans involved and if shirt G is the winner then shirt G it must be. I would be most disheartened to hear of us going with C if G won the overall vote because like others have said, what would have been the point of it all but touchwood an idea which the club must be thouroughly commended for. I actually like G now better than C so i'll buy it. I'm sure we will have G though an i remain positive that surely the club cannot balls this up?

as unhappy as i am about the fact the shirt G has won the vote :'( it should be honoured by the club that G is indeed next seasons shirt because it was the clear winner and the club should not be given an "out" and use C.
i would be quite shocked :O if they didnt go with G though, because the way the whole thing has been conducted with 6 other quite poor similar choices :-/ it was set up to be G. the fans have spoken and it is the fans who are the heart

I wonder if the players are thinking about their sartorial elegance or whether they want a shirt that can be easily picked out as a team mate when they are in a tight corner.

Whatever the reason I'm with the players. G is shit ;-)

I can't win at all.

I hated G and C was my least favoured of the rest!

Woe is me!

Exactly. Black and grey is far easier to pick out. ;-)
