One Ex-Gull I wouldn't mind back next season is Alan Connell. He has just been released by Northampton.

http://www.ntfc.co.uk/news/article/2014 ... 40697.aspx

I think he would definitely score goals in the conference. He proved this at Grimsby scoring 25 goals in 46 appearances in the 2010/2011 season.

Make the call Greavsie!!!

How has he played so few games? 202 in 13 seasons. He's only ever played one full season in his career and that was the one to which Mark refers, where he scored 25 in 46. I have a feeling we'll be looking a little higher up the food chain, however.

Kieran Charnock (remember him?) finds his way to Chester FC.

Watched 3 ex Gulls tonight at the Basingstoke v Newport game. Howe, Zebs, Macklin. Only one that impressed me in this match was Macklin..

The other 2 poor. In fact how Basingstoke didn't win that I don't know. Hope we are better than both those 2 teams because it was pretty poor.

It's preseason, of course Macklin looks good.

Howe always was and always will be a crap footballer who took a good penalty. Zebrowski, I dunno, maybe it's too much of that infamous attitude which I've mentioned before. He'd certainly fit the profile. Shame, because two of the three mentioned could do so much better.

Leadbitter has just signed for Rovers!

Ahahahahahahahahahahahaha, they've lost Michael Smih and replaced him with Leadbitter. A fine and nice player no doubt, but hardly likely to assist them to the upper reaches of the division.

He is better than Tonge (if last seasons form continues!).

Even more news ;-) Nicho played in a pre season game for Kidderminster last night, not too sure whether he's on trial or been signed up.

Nicho set up a goal in the friendly between Kiddy and Cheltenham today, a trademark free kick...
