I've had the rumour confirmed by someone "in the know". I tried to ask who we have signed and he said "2 players, you can guess who". I'm not saying this is bang on just putting it out there what I've heard.

Tonge and Benyon?

Be a very good positive start if true.

Heard there are a few more to come as well, contracts have been offered and just waiting to see what happens on them.

CP Gull wrote: Almost certainly missed the boat with him ... shame as he is actually a Torquay lad and was only playing South Devon League a couple of seasons back. I don't know how he slipped the net when he was younger but probably our best chance of signing him was when he was banging them in for cash strapped Truro last season, before he got the move to Dorchester, who would no doubt want quite a decent wedge of money for him now.

Moore is currently on trial with Yeovil in the Championship .... still can't quite believe they will be playing at that level next season!
No I'm not the same person as rivo_7... but i had a kick around with kieffer moore's best mate today and he said he wont sign for yeovil until after his trial at crystal palace. 100% missed the boat there dont get why we didnt offer him a trial at xmas

Well it won't be Marvin Morgan as he has just signed for Argyle. Another decent signing by them, if they get Banton back as well, on a season loan from Palace, I can see them doing really well next season. :Z It does though probably mean we can put an end to the Howe to Plymouth rumour, thankfully!

... but how about this for "pie-in-the-sky" rumour-mongering. Mike Grella:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23129708

Signed by Bury after Knill had left - but were managed by Richie Barker at the time, who had been part of the back-room staff under Knill so potentially Grella may have been scouted by them beforehand and is known by AK. This is further suggested by the fact that Knill then signed him for Scunthorpe. He has a pretty poor/average scoring record (10 goals in 97 FL games), but has never played at L2 level and has proved he can find the net given a run in the team (3 in 10 during a loan at Carlisle back in 2010).

Probably 2+2 = 5 but given that there are some Knill links (albeit tentatively), could be on AK's radar now he's a free agent?

Please Alan, lets sign someone! I'm getting such a ribbing from Exeter/Argyle workmates, as I foolishly said a few weeks ago that we'd see some ambitious signings. Ive spent every break on the computer, like a lost puppy waiting for its owner to come back. Can barely stand it anymore!

This is the fourth player you have mentioned.

I'm sure if you name enough of them, one of them will be correct :-D

You? Clearly not a TUFC fan then! I take everything you say as non-gospel!
