To be fair, it's quiet for me too, and I'm only in Stevenage! :na:

At last. Reid has stepped aside and Ruari has taken his chance.
Jamie just does not cut it. As nice a chap as he is. Needs to move on - maybe to Truro

Another good win. Keeps the points tally going every week. Just what we need. Oxford look a mess so 3 more on Tuesday please.

For all the criticism Gary and co have had, we're currently the only team yet to concede in the league, and 7 points out of 9 I'll take it. Think we're still missing a top striker for this level but overall a good start!

3 games unbeaten, no goals conceded. I'll take that and congratulate Owers on a decent start. Still a long way to go though so not counting chickens just yet!!

Nearly went today but didn't in the end. Keating was excellent on Tuesday when he came and looks to be a different player from last season.

I agree with Dave SG that it's early days but i'm certainly having that seed of doubt about Owers and his true intentions for TUFC slowly teased out.
Ok so half of the teams in this league could be beaten by lifting 11 lads out of a pub on a saturday and cobbling a side together but it's about consistency and consistently and efficiently putting away pub sides like East Thurrock so that you are then in a strong position to give the likes of Billericay something to think about.
Owers has put together a squad and all he can do is beat what is in front of him which is just about what has happened thus far bar the commendable draw at Chelmsford.
Keep clean sheets and you'll win more than you lose. Obviously. :~D
Credit to Owers for navigating what could have been a tricky start had Torquay lost one or two already which could easily have happened. The jury is still on holiday though and will be until the season ends.

credit to Gary owers, well done to him and the team. get someone like jake Robinson in and this team will be hard to beat.
Once again, we've seen a big difference between the two half's, this time in my opinion it was largely down to the goalkeeper, first half he looked unsure with the ball in his hands, very slow to distribute, with the wings backs showing. ended kicking long time and time again, which doesn't suit our team. Ower's clearly had a chat with him, second half he was getting the ball out the wing backs, and the team started to build attacking play, retained possession of the ball, Thurrock tired quickly.
Quick mention for Keating, his work rate and persistence brings something to the team, it led to the goal at the end of a difficult first half refusing to give up and what looked a lost cause, deserved motm. and the keeper, despite his slow distribution first half, took a few crosses comfortably, and made two saves, one first class.
Away crowd was approximately 27, I know, me a couple friends had a go counting them
And finally, the one thing that Ower's has said, I do totally agree with, this about patience at the moment, the players at this level can all play, were not going steam roller all teams, nor win every match. Right now it's early days, our own team still needs time to gel, we have a couple players like Wright who've not had a full pre-season, so right now it's about results, more than performances, we've got something to build on now.

So three of you couldn't count to 27 accurately?
