Torquay United v Aldershot 14/12/19
Apparently GJ did the same at Yeovil with his GK's. As much as many of us disagree he isn't going to change.
Thought sean macdonald played well yesterday, couple of dodgy bits of distribution. I'd rather see him in permanently.

I was at the league game but didn't go yesterday. What a wise choice! Really sorry we couldn't give you any kind of a game. Like Torquay, I consider Shots are part of the elite 92. However, we are in freefall with a manager who looks and acts like Dominic Littlewood. My friend Heather who goes to all our games says she stayed on chatting with some of your fans until 10pm. Anyway, I wish you well Gulls fans and hope one day we can get revenge for a 5-1 trouncing!

Love your line re Dom Littlewood!
As for the "92" I dont think thats relevant anymore - we are (both) where we are for various reasons and the Conference is fast becoming League 3 - it was bound to happen with the promotion/relegation from League 2.
All the best for the rest of season - apart from when you play us of course...............

Thanks. League 3 sounds a little better. Avoiding League 4 is our current strife.SuperNickyWroe wrote: ↑15 Dec 2019, 11:58 Good to hear that Heather had a good time post match!

It's a shame Shots are not doing well at the moment. However was expecting them to struggle this year especially after being relegated too the league below but then back up after Gateshead's problem.
Just what we needed. Playing a poor Aldershot side in the trophy at home was a free hit. For me, Buse was outstanding. Back to the form that earned him his POTM award. Good to see Reidy and Janneh back on form. Defence still looks fragile and a Niante mistake could have cost us when their forward should have scored. New signings did well as did Whitfield who runs all day. Hopefully start of a good Christmas run!!! How much longer do we have Janneh. Tipical that he finds form and then goes elsewhere in January.
Until the beginning of January as things stand, I think.

Janneh not good enough to go else where in my opinion
He’s plenty good enough and will ultimately end up playing higher, but perhaps hasn’t reached the heights he might have but for injury and return from injury just yet. Yesterday may have marked him getting back into the groove that saw a League 1 club wanting him on loan back in August. He has bags of talent. We may get lucky and be the beneficiary of an extension of his loan. Certainly hope we are.
Yes - the fortunes of both clubs have taken a dive in recent seasons. Over many seasons, we have had some great games going back to Div 3 (south), Div 2 (or Div. 4) and the Conference so I've always had a bit of a 'soft spot' for the 'Shots. But I have to say, yesterday's Aldershot side was the worst we have played against this season. The midfield was okay but in attack and in defence - very weak. And players were swearing at each other. Never a good sign.Shot By Both Sides wrote: ↑15 Dec 2019, 10:50 I was at the league game but didn't go yesterday. What a wise choice! I was pleased to see you escaped relegation last season due to Gateshead's problems, but on yesterday's showing, you won't escape again. Sorry to be a prophet of doom! Maybe you'll have a change of manager which will turn things around. On yesterday's showing, the sooner the better.

Janneh is a class player, I say that not because he is ours at the moment but one who likes to see really good footballers, his positional play, his reading of the game, he is young and will get far better, he is also coming back to fitness after a bad injury, he will undoubtedly be a championship player if not higher.
I remember when we had Stockley from Bournemouth very young, I think he cared more for his hairstyle than his work rate but he had something about him, he had been taught by good coaches how to find those positions a striker needs to find and look at him now.

You are a buffoon who seems to post three dozen posts for the purpose of saying nothing.
If you seriously think Janneh isn't good enough you perhaps ought to start watching netball. Possibly its been fortunate for us that Janneh has taken a bit of time to get over his injury and hadn't found the net before Saturday. It was only a matter of time though and I fear that if he scores anymore between now and the new year he will be gone.
Quality player destined to go higher.
