Think we need both due respect and honesty here.

Dye respect to Saturdays opponents , who so far have looked very strong at home, hopefully have my facts right winning 4.1 v Taunton and 3.0 v Hampton also are the only team so far to take any points out of Worthing winning 1.2 away to a side who beat us with ease at Plainmmoor.

From a Torquay point of view we have four straight wins, which is fantastic, however we all know we've coughed and spluttered our way to 13 points against some of the most poor in terms of resources and weakest squads, never looking totally comfortable, we've seen our team leave their mentality in the dressing room in every game so far, something we can't do Saturday, otherwise we wont be leaving ourselves a small step ladder to climb, it will a Worthing style mountain.

My heart says, four straight wins will give enough confidence to over come the inconsistencies, we've seen so far, my head disagrees, think we'll we could come unstuck here.

form table would probably suggest a draw or an Aveley win; they've been thoroughly decent so far.

with that said, I suspect we'll have at least one loanee show up before now and saturday, and he'll presumably start the game (otherwise - what's the point?). Aveley have actually lost at home already this season, so despite their 4G pitch it's not some sort of impregnable stronghold.

going to veer wildly towards the optimistic and 2-0 Torquay (loanee will hopefully be a central defender!)

Just watched the Highlights on You Tube of Worthing 1 Aveley 2.
Worthing had a penalty chalked off for encroachment by their No 2 and battered Aveley who somehow survived thanks to their keeper.
Worthing were clearly the better side but lost at home their only defeat.
Aveley are beatable at Home as Dartford proved it just depends if we keep our shape, Mark Hallstead keeps up his splendid form, and we are clinical when we get a chance. COYY.

Aveley 1 Torquay 1.

We always seem to concede (only ONE clean sheet so far this season). They are an unknown quantity, having not played them before. I would settle for a point at this stage, to keep unbeaten run going. After TWO correct scores, I am going for the hat trick.

My head says a draw but I am going with my hopeful heart.
Keep this winning run going. Averly 1-2 Torquay
Plus if we win its great reading the GJ out brigade lose a little more steam for a week!

I would a love a win amd a good performance but I feel it will be a typical Torquay game of two halves. 2-0 at half time and 2-2 full time.
