Have to apologise to teeboo here. You were spot on and I was wrong to doubt you.

An ideal move for both parties.

He obviously loves living down here and turned down moves to both Crawley (nice one (£) ) and Hereford earlier in the year. Hereford offered money to Kiddermister in the January window but the player himself turned the move down. It's also almost certain that Mark Yates at Cheltenham (who signed him for Kiddie) would have wanted him as well but it's equally certain that all three of these league clubs would have insisted on him moving away from Devon - it was only the fact that Kidderminster were accepting (no doubt reluctantly) of this situation that he was able to stay there as long as he did. Indeed I would imagine that there is every likelihood that he would have stayed there for next season if this move hadn't have come about.

Welcome back Chris - hoping for better things this time around .... and will forgive you for your FA Trophy winning goal.

Nope – sorry but still cannot get excited by this. I will (however) not be straight on his back and more than willing to let him prove me wrong. Unfortunately I am guessing many of the morons will be cat calling before he kicks a ball. I hope this is not the case.

When he scores 2 at The Memorial Sh*thole and we win 2-0 they won't.

Think he's a much better player than that donkey Harrold they signed and they paid money for him.

initially I was "Oh, really?" about this move, but the more I think about it, the more positive I get. He's had a pretty decent record since leaving us - the TUFC team he was a part of was (let's be honest) rubbish - so let's give the guy a chance. Hey, with O'Kane pulling the strings in midfield he might, I dunno, get some semi-decent service..

Perhaps this is what Martin Ling means when he says he is good at arriving late in the box !!!!

Well I said I was worried about the calibre of player Ling would bring to the club and this is exactly the sort of signings I was afraid of... Not inspired at all I am afraid. Maybe I have been spoilt by seeing exciting prospects like Eunan O Kane or established League two players such as Stanley and Robinson join recently.

As far as the OS attempt at sugar-coating what McPhee gives us, surely they must realise we know! We have seen him play more times than ML? Hearing we won the battle of his signature to Hereford and Cheltenham only spells a relegation battle to me.

As for Leadbitter I will reserve judgment as I haven t seen him play. However for some reason I was more inspired when Oastler first joined on loan? Even though both were in the reserves of a fairly high profile club and neither had any league two experience. Maybe this is because Buckle could actually string a sentence together and was able to express his qualities far greater than Martin Ling appears to be able to do

Bucks was much better at telling porkies as well.

Seems like everything Ling said he was going to do, he has done.

I'm with you with regards to the signings, but until the jury comes in with a verdict and we actually see them gel as a team, there is no point beating Ling down with a stick.

McPhee is certainly a better player than he was when he left us, that I will guarantee.

Whilst i don't really agree with the above post, i too made the point about Ling's skills in front of the cameras. Definitely not of the same standard as Buckle's. Seems a nervous character or more likely just out of his comfort zone having to talk to papers/websites. Probably a different bloke in the flesh as it were.

McPhee is a totally different player to the one that was here previously. He was 7 or 8 years younger for a start at his first club where he was really involved in the first team and on top of that was in a shocking side. He's gone away and done well everywere he's been sicne developing his game so he can play in a load of different positions. The only concern for me is that it was at a lower level. But he's local, he's now at a good age, he's a free transfer, 18 goals last season he's just worth a punt. if he hadn't been here previously I'm fairly sure there would be a bit more support for this move.

McPhee is a decent signing, I don't think he'll be anything special but if he, Zebs and Kee can get between 10-15 goals each next season, that would be a decent basis of goals from just 3 players in an entire squad. If Zebs is considered a winger, then we could be looking at another striker too.

I do agree with you there. People forget the BSP is a tough league and anyone to score 18 goals in a season with a avergae side cant be that bad.
People need to admit if it was someone new they would all be right behined him. We need to see him as a new player has like Royal said hes 7 years further into his carear and hes doing alright for himself.

If Chris can do well for us and even score 10 goals next season i would be very happy.
