Livid. Moving for family reasons is the biggest bullshit I've heard since Buckle said he isn't going to Bristol Rovers.

With Stanley, Bevan & Zebroski being our loss as the saying goes is someone elses gain & deary me, what a gain Bristol Rovers have. Whilst Ling is signing BSP rejects like McPhee & Parkinson Buckle has Stanley & Zebroski. No prizes to guess which team will be up the right end of the table next season.

Thanks for your efforts Zebroski. I think you may've been forced to hand in a transfer request because the board have rejected so many transfer offers & understandbly so.

Buckle - Do one, you grey haired, greasey wanker.

I just hope Ling gets every penny and he canactually buy someone decent or two decent players. I have faith in Ling.
He hasnt made a signing yet that im not worried about.

Mcphee has a point to prove which will help us in the sence of he will need to play like he has the last few seasons to do well for us. Oaslter i dont care what anyone says is a decent league 2 player. Leadbitter im confident he will do well for us. Saah is class, no doubt about that i would be delighted to see him sign. Now for this keeper.
Hi Brett - How do you know this? It's not what the story reports?

as he has handed in a transfer request now, it may interest a few other clubs - so hopefully he won't go to rovers after all. disappointed he's going, although i don't rate him as highly as some of you to be honest. don't get me wrong, i'd prefer he stayed, especially for the coming season, he's a good player at this level, and has many strengths, but i think the weak points in his game have never really improved enough to make him more than a top Div2 player. of course he will be tough to replace, but what concerns me more is the heart has been ripped out this team one way or another, and we really can't afford to lose anyone else. it's important we get some experience in now, as bar Manse and Nico, i don't feel we have any other "senior" players at the moment. i've remained optimistic up til now, prepared to give the new management time to get things in place, and the new players have my full support, but it really isn't looking too good at the moment.

all that's left i guess, is to cue the knobheads from rovers to come on and remind us how wonderful they are again.

I am currently worried. With Zeb going (Kee apart) where are the goals coming from next season??

Ling has to strengthen that area significantly, otherwise we might well be at the beggining of the journey of shit creek.

I have a close freind who works for the club and got told this. I then rang a freind who works for Rovers, who i had worked with at Yeovil a few seasons ago and he also confirmed this to me. I know more than people think, im just "tufcbrett" to most people.
We did turn down a large fee a few weeks ago which i did mention but now something has been agreed. The club said what they wanted and Rovers have offerd it to them. Easy as that.

Slightly strange question from Gashead. He's going to be signing for Bristol Rovers, idiot.

Family reasons, lol. Has Zebs ill granny been moved to Bristol hospital recently, you couldn't make it up. If Zeb had any respect for the club who stuck by him throughout all his off field problems he could and should have dealt with this better. So suddenly the commute is just too much! Did he not know that after the Stevenage game? why no transfer request then? The timing of this transfer request has dropped us in the sh*t and will cost us money in the fee we get for him, no doubt about it, I reckon we will get 125k for him if we are lucky.

Im not going to slate him as a player because he always gave 100% on the pitch but is he irreplacable, certainly not. Come on Lingy, sort the information out in that brain, put some fingers in a few more pies and come up with a couple of signings that will pick us all up. (apart from Brucie) :scarf:

Zebs was always on his way out of the club.. if anything I can see the boards eyes lighting up with this transfer request. If we had sold him without the transfer request in question all our posts would be aimed at the board, selling our best player after losing so much quality already this summer, who is going to come in to replace him? Where is the clubs ambition? Now look at us, Buckle bashing...again, for turning a players head? he s enquired about a player he knows well, the fee was agreed earlier in the week and BR are paying us what we asked for.

The question I am continually asking is where is the quality in the squad? right now aside from Eunan we have none.

I'm seriously worried now - Buckle has ripped the spine out of our squad and, as yet, Ling has shown a notable lack of decent contacts which might help the rebuilding process. I see a very long and difficult season ahead of us.

r.

But you seem to forget- there is pressure on them to be up there...we are not expected to up there again!

This is concerning that he is going with the goals! If we signed calvin Zola though...I would be pleased! It's going to take someone like that to replace him.

I rate him at least 135K
