He's a good prospect in football manager..

He may well know Kee and O'Kane as well being part of the Northern Ireland set up.

Oh well, if a computer game says he's good we should stop at nothing to get him! :na:

I hear that Mario and his brother Luigi are quite handy! :)

Pikachu (Pokemon) would be a good signing, quick, strong and cause a few shocks :slap:

Could Niall Rodney be the Championship striker that we now have missed out on?

Hope not - fingers crossed this is still in the pipeline although no further news on this today is a little concerning.

I think Rodney had been on trial with Bradford according to the skysports website, so hopefully it is someone else we are trying to get!

He was on trial yes, but that doesn't mean we can't have talks with him.....

Agreed, but I think the point being made is it is 'less' likely.

As Richinns said I was just suggesting that it is less likely we were talking to him if he was on trial with them. Hopefully that is the case and our signing is stil likely in the next couple days.

An apology if this has already been mentioned on here.

From a reliable source the Striker we are going to sign is Rene Howe from Peterborough who recently played on loan for Bristol Rovers for 2 games scoring 1. He scored a decent amount of goals wherever he has gone. Apparently he is having a medical at Seale Hayne and signing a 2 year contract.

So what do we all think if this is true?

Certainly wasn't in the Championship last season, so if he's a depth signing fine, but he's been a troublemaker in the past and his record in the league is hardly inspiring apart from a spell in L2 with Rochdale a few seasons ago.

And the classy 'Dating In The Dark' is apparently his latest attempt to score as well :O
