Considering this will hold 1800 even allowing for away fan's, I can't imagine that all seats will have been sold, or ever will, unless we get a plum F.A cup draw.

I should imagine there will season tickets for the bench, again the club normaly sells around 1000 season tickets for the whole ground, so there will plently availble.

Cheers forever. As someone who has been supporting the Gulls for a good few years now and ashamedly NEVER been to Plainmoor ( for a match - i've been to visit club shop and stuff on hols ), i thought that come next season the time has come to start trawling the M1/M42/M5 and into Torquay on a regular-ish basis. As i,ve never been i thought that the new Grandstand might be the best place for a newcomer to go rather than stand with all the neanderthals in the popside :na: . Personally i'd prefer to stand with all you knuckledraggers in the popside and sing my b*****s off as thats what i do at most away games but i'm scared. :'( You all know one another like a large coven of witches and i'd be an outsider and probably get stared at and cursed so the peaceful solace of the new stand looks appealing at the minute unless you lot can convince me otherwise and nudge me to get a season ticket for the pop.

The popside is the place to be. I always stand there when I am over....you will make friends soon enough if you went over there.

Yes Andy, Scott is right, I used to stand in one spot on the popside, started moving around, and soon got to know many faces on the pop, I will be taken off the pop in my coffin :-D No retirment stand for me.

That said I will go in Bench for a pre-season friendly, just so I can say I have been in there.

One thing to bear in mind.

Brucie frequents the grandstand....

The new 1800-seat grandstand, even partially built, looks great, and is a massive improvement on what was there before. But, just to put things into perspective, Cheltenham FC are reportedly planning a new 3000-seat stand! You do have to wonder, though, how they're going to fill it..!
