One thing I can't understand is why he was seemingly so unfit. It seems strange that a professional football player would get into such an unfit state that he couldn't even be considered for a bench position in a team who badly need a decent midfielder. That said, I have every confidence that he will be a great signing for us. I remember seeing him in the Bury team and he completely bossed the midfield. Hopefully he can regain that here.
Luke.

They didn't have the funds to keep an injured player all season

And what is the other reason please Matt?ferrarilover wrote:You know who else has a horrendous injury record?
Ryan Giggs has glass hamstrings.
Jack Wilshere breaks his leg every other week.
Marlon King trained once a week to protect his knees.
Paul Scholes has one of the most serious cases of asthma that medical science has ever seen.
Aaron Downes and Tom Cruise both come to us with abysmal fitness records.
Just be cool, Davey is a miracle worker one of the best physios in the game. He goes out to work with AC Milan (I think) every so often, he's hugely in demand and there's a reason for that. I've no idea why he stays with us when he could happily walk into almost any job football.
DM is, from what I know, working very hard to get himself fit and keep himself fit. We've waited a long time for him, there's a reason for that too.
Matt.

The same reason that United waited 2 years for Ruud Van Nistelrooy. He's meant to be crazy good. From what I've seen and heard, it'll be like having a massive, black Eunan.

Marlon did have interruptions in training as well but usually it was because he was in jail.

I've been watching this guy for the last two weeks and knew he was in the building ages ago, all I will say is please don't think the messiah has arrived and all our problems have dissapeard. If and it's a big if he regains the form of 2-3 years ago then it's happy days. But all I'm saying is this player is only at light jogging and I think it will be a massive ask for to come in and smash it. I hope I'm proved wrong but please don't expect too much to early.

Can anyone shed any light on what injury he has been out with and how long for?
Also, I can't imagine it is particularly pleasant for Harding (who plays alongside the captain) to be seeing this guy training and supposedly being lined up to take his place in the team. Pressure must be getting to him.

He's definitely of the same ability but I can assure you they don't have the same DNA and have different sets of parents.TeenageGull wrote:Im guessing Matt that Mozika is of labadies structure and ability?
(only joking Teenagegull (if only you put fanclub instead of gull ) your posts are most welcome )
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I never saw Ladderz close up, but going from memory, I'd say he's probably as big and possibly an inch or two taller. He's in good proportion, unlike, say, Zebro[w]ski who was always far too tall for his size.
I wouldn't like to meet him at night in a dark alley, that's for sure.
Exile, yes, of course, Ledley, not Marlon. I did that off the bat and, in my advanced years, my memory failed me once again.

No disrespect to Mr Mozika or AK but while he is a better defensive midfielder than any we have at the club currently he is still a defensive midfielder and does nothing to improve creativity in the middle of the park...
And from what I remember he is not quite as good as Joss Labadie...PhilGull wrote:No disrespect to Mr Mozika or AK but while he is a better defensive midfielder than any we have at the club currently he is still a defensive midfielder and does nothing to improve creativity in the middle of the park...
