Anyway after all that. Yes I am really pleased that Joss has returned and I thank Knill.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Ah, back to football. I had begun to wonder if Labadie might return as he wasn't even on the Notts County bench in recent games. If he can replicate the form (and passion) he showed last time here then I agree this is a great signing. I also agree this is likely to see the end of Mozika.

Pleased with this even though it's another loan signing because I think our midfield needs pepping up somewhat so IMO it is a worthwhile addition. Maybe we can lose Mozika and get Joss instead, a far better player IMO.

Welcome back Joss!
That might have been better, then he'd be available for the Playoffs.

Matt.

Much better player than Mozika.

Welcome back, Joss.

Is this Knill's parting gift? Excellent news but can't help but wish we were as spoilt for choice in defence.

Really? I'd much rather we had some forwards. You have to score more than the opposition to win games and I wouldn't be confident in finding the net to beat a team we keep out at the back.

This all strikes me as being the work of someone who rates Lathrope, and has prior knowledge of Labadie. that clearly has nothing to do with Knill. I have to say getting labadie back even if he has been out injured is a master stroke

Why do people want Mozika to go? Surely having one in the team and one on the bench is good, could both be in the side too. Just tell Mansell his time is up.....which unfortunately it is.

AustrianAntheaGull wrote: Credit for what? Bringing in another loanee because all his other midfield additions haven't worked? Not only that but it would appear more a last throw of the dice move, bringing in the man who saved his bacon last season and hoping he would do so again? It's a bit tragic really his obvious lack of any managerial ability.

Yes it's a good move for us and if Knill is responsible then I do indeed give him credit for getting him to agree to come but the reasons why Knill felt compelled to do so are the reasons partly why he got the boot. No ideas. Hope rather than expectation. This was fine with a month or so to go but as a last throw of the dice in JANUARY then it's a bit much for me.
come on Andy, give credit where is due, because in all honesty, none of us had a scooby-doo who he was and how well he'd do when he signed for us on loan last season.

Joss gave the midfield a lift last time, I hope the same happens again. His goals were a bonus and much needed. Maybe our misfiring strikers will also benefit from his style and chip in a few too.

This is great news ! However, let's not expect too much from him in his first game - he's just returned from injury so won't be fully match fit. I hope Damien Mozika stays because he's looking sharper after each game and I hope Jak McCourt also stays cos he's been a midfield dynamo in recent matches. As for who should play in midfield, I think I'll leave that to Geoff Harrop. Really looking forward to tomorrow's game although it will probably be a hard slog on a heavy pitch. I bet Nico will be in the squad ....... :scarf:

I just saw this on BBC. The best news since Knoll was sacked! I guess this, with the return of Lathrope means the end for Mozika but who cares?! I think this is fantastic news, a great signing!
More confident going in to today's game than I have been for a long time, so happy today!
