I'm in two minds over the Trophy.

Yes, it would be great to see Torquay play at Wembley again and to see Torquay win a trophy would be fantastic, plus we could do with some extra money coming in.

However, if we are in a position where we are challenging for promotion, the main priority for me will always be getting out of the conference.

If the ties are favourable, play some of the fringe players and if we get closer , then get the main team out.

I remember reading in Hargreaves book that in the promotion season, they completely disregarded the FA Trophy and focused fully on the league. Let's see where we are later in the season (if we're still in the cup) and judge on our league position.
Na, na na, NA NA NA NA, NA NA NA NA, TORQUAY!

I don't see success n the trophy and success in the conference as mutually exclusive. In fact, I believe because of money alone a good trophy performance makes a successful conference season much more likely.

Since becoming a Football League club (and then not) we have reached 3 finals of a cup competition. The Division 3 (South) Cup in 1934 (losing 0-1 to Exeter at Home Park), the Sherpa Van Final in 1989 (losing 1-4 to Bolton Wanderers) and the FA Trophy in 2008 (losing 0-1 to Ebbsfleet).
