It's a turgid game. Horrible pitch. We've been second best but not much in it. Flashes of quality, but not much.

Better than last years debacle here so far, so an improvement in that sense.

Kev must have read my post lol

Braintree: 1.29 Average Goals scored 0.86 conceded
Torquay: 1.19 Average Goals scored 2.14 conceded

Trust that the HE reporting Richards was suspended was a mistake otherwise today's point will be wiped out.

More than happy with a point, please please please can we push on from here!!

For some reason i've just noticed todays Burton score and where they are currently sat in league one. Feels like only 5 minutes ago we were in a race with them for the conference title, talk about two similar sized sides with completely contrasting fortunes :'(

HE was wrong. According to the commentators the club had checked with FA and in their records he had 4 bookings. All well and good then.

Great point today. Good to see a clean sheet again. The result being that we didn't create many chances but we need to start from the back.

Thank goodness for that. Then it's onwards & hopefully upwards.

Utterly dreadful game of football. Never been so bored in all my life. We created the grand total of nothing. Braintree created more, and had more pressure, but in truth seldom looked like scoring.

Perhaps we needed a rubbish game, one where we didn't give away any cheap goals. We seemed solid enough at the back, which was a positive. There was little to choose between the two sides, other than the usual home advantage, which bodes well. It's not a strong division

A very good point gained although if Braintree are a top eight team this is a very poor league.
First 15 minutes it looked as if Braintree were going to score a hatful but after some good fortune with them hitting the woodwork twice and missing a very good chance, our defence settled down and neither side really had a clear chance. I think we could still be playing now and wouldn't have scored.
The pitch was awful and this was real non league football.
Good to see the that the players showed more fight & team spirit than I'd expected from reading recent reports.

Given the last couple of results, I'm really pleased with a point but even more pleased with the clean sheet.

A platform for us to build on next week.
