Hi, two reasons, one I know the chap who trains the South West refs on new laws of the game for the FA, he himself was a footballleague lino and Conference ref....and also because Mini Mid Devon is a Level 7 ref, which is pretty low down the scale, but pretty good at 16.....he plays most Saturday's now so mainly refs on Sundays, but when he comes along to home matches, it is always interesting to find out why a ref has made a certain decision from his view

Hate to resurrect an old thread, but its nice to know even the Milk/Littlewoods/Rumbelows/Coke/Worthington/Carling (have I missed any sponsors out?) Cup final has a linesman that doesnt know the fracking offside rule....He will probably be running the line here on Tuesday night

You're not wrong Fletch, what an absolutely disasterous decision that was. The defender was in line with the line on the pitch, the ball hardly travelled a long way to reach the guy and he must have been almost 2 yards onside. Just to make it worse, it was a nailed on penalty immediately after and probably a red card for the keeper. These officials don't do it deliberately, but the league must take steps to rectify this. They must realise that on such decisions, entire clubs may rise and fall.
