Cmon.......we have at last taken advantage of a mistake.
Theres 1!!! Need a miracle for 2, but we're the Gulls, we never quite know what will happen, good or bad!

Good to see that we've got one back. Hopefully we can now finish the game strongly so that there's a bit of positivity and not some crazy over-reaction to getting beaten by a team with a wage bill of more than a million a year.

Give it a rest.Guildford Gull wrote:Wow. That must have been a fantastic half time team talk from our master tactician.
There is no point in signing 3 forwards if your defence leaks like a sieve. Our away record is a disgrace. Nico is taking us to Conference South
Hopefully the club will soon be sold and the new owners will have enough money to pay off Nicholson and bring in a manager who knows what he's doing.

Agreed to get something from this game would be a real bonus. On Brendan Moore, yes he's got a real mistake in him, if he can iron them out he wouldn't be at our level, for me, I look at the number of times he's recued a point or two with some sound goalkeeping, or an unbelievable save, personally think we can forgive the odd rick he makes.

Gulliball - don't think there is an overreaction to losing. No one has a problem if we lose playing positive football.
What is hard to swallow is the commentators politely saying we have no tactics to meet the Tranmere threat and seem unable/unwilling to try to manage the game.
Nicholson should listen to the radio commentary when he gets back as Racchi is making some very insightful comments on our formation and tactics - from a man who has played under the current manager.

That's as good as a save .......well done Brendan !!!!!!
No problem Chris. To pick up on some points above, yes, Tranmere are a bigger club with a wage bill that swamps ours, but, one thing I've posted about time and time again this season, we seem as players, a club and a fan base just to easy to accept things.
Getting something from Tranmere was always going to be a big ask, but as Racchi has said, try, challenge, work, put up a fight, make it hard for the opposition, instead of accepting things and turning our toes up before the game even starts.

Tranmere are a very good team. Getting something from this game would be a bonus, and we've got half a chance of doing that, currently on 83 minutes. Go there and try to match them attack for attack and we'll lose.Gloomy Gull wrote:Gulliball - don't think there is an overreaction to losing. Danny Racchi is trying to get himself a contract. He's not fit so can't do it on the pitch, so I don't blame him for trying to keep himself involved in football. I would hope we would have learned enough from Chris Hargreaves to take it with a pinch of salt, even from a 'legend'. It's easy to say that a team is not as good as a team spending 3 times more, or even where the players individually are worse. Doing something about it is easier said than done, and will be the result of off-field change rather than a new midfielder or even new manager.

Only just turned this on, Racchi is scathing. Sounds awful.
