Will we stay up?
Yes take out Wrexham, Notts County and Maidstone and there's not a lot between the rest. Woking are comfortably third and looked very average when we drew with them.
It could have been so different this season if only the club had reacted after a couple of months when it was clear we were struggling with our young inexperienced team.

We've done well the last four games, but there's still a mountain to climb. We're now at 5/2 on to be relegated.
Four games ago we were somewhere between 14/1 and 10/1 on.
Some of the teams which were around us have done very well to pull away.... Gateshead in particular spring to mind.
Just need to keep winning and hoping those still around us slip up.....

That is a tough last three, especially how they've been playing.MellowYellow wrote: ↑12 Apr 2023, 22:56 For me, its Maidenhead who are in a perilous position - Oldham (a) Barnet (h) Gateshead (a) - tough teams for them to pick up points
But if they did lose all three we still need 7 points

Their goal difference is only 5 better than ours. If they lost all 3, and we won 2, it could be closer. However, 7 points or 9 points are more likely to be what is required!SuperNickyWroe wrote: ↑14 Apr 2023, 12:12 That is a tough last three, especially how they've been playing.

Fair point, but I'd rather we did it via points and not just GD!Midlandgull wrote: ↑14 Apr 2023, 12:32 Their goal difference is only 5 better than ours. If they lost all 3, and we won 2, it could be closer. However, 7 points or 9 points are more likely to be what is required!

IF Maidenhead lost their three remaing games, their goal difference would be -17 at best. We would have to improve ours by two over four matches and at least six and maybe seven points in that period.
In my opinion we must win on Saturday and get four points at least from the two away games. Ideally Aldershot lose all four remaining or get no more than a draw v Scunthorpe on a Saturday.
It is getting sqeeky bum time. My lucky underpants need changing...but not until we are safe.

Also, the Shots wont lose all four - they've got Scunny at home who couldn't win a one horse race...

50 points will be safe.
49 points might go down to goal difference.

Life is like TUFC. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory.

Two wins and a draw and we’ll definitely stay up.
Hopefully will need less.

A remarkable change in fortunes. You might consider changing the name of the club from Torquay United to Torquey United after a late season turn of this magnitude.
