That's you and me both Dave. I had to get home at around 9 and tune in via the laptop and I had to put it down when 5 minutes were added for time added on. Here's hoping we get a result at Morecambe on Saturday.

New definition in the Oxford English Dictionary:

Hand relief (n): pressing 'Refresh' for the thousandth time to discover your team has scraped home and taken a significant step towards safety from relegation.

Just hoping that Billy 'The lash' Bodin's re-emergence as a striker extrordinaire is not a one-hit wonder!

What a massive win, one of the great Plainmoor nights of recent times and the scenes at the final whistle where ones to savour. Full credit to every man who pulled on a Yellow shirt tonight, to Alan Knill and Chris Brass and every member of the Yellow Army who backed the players loud and proud for the entire 90 minutes. Analysing the performance is irrelevant, all that mattered was the 3 points and we all did it together. An amazing atmosphere.

Plenty of standout performances tonight, Downes was back to his best, Mansell covered every blade of grass, Lathrope put in lots of hard graft, Jarvis and Benyon ran until they could run no more, Rene was up for it and lead the line brilliantly.

Special mention to Billy Bodin, it may not have been the best shot, and it may have been the worst goalkeeping since Rob Green 2010, but if you don't shoot on target, you don't score. Been panned by many for the majority of the season, and although one goal does not make a season, he has just happened to score our most important goal of the season so deserves massive respect.

Great to see so much passion at the final whistle, great to hear a crowd in full voice. All this might mean nothing if we don't pick up results in the next two games, but we're above the dreaded line again at the moment and that's a great place to be. A massive night at Plainmoor and an absolute pleasure to be a part of it.

Encapsulated everything that being a fan of a lower league team is all about. Proud to be a Gull. See you at Morecambe!

Can't quite believe that.

Atmosphere was unreal at times, best I've heard in years.

See you at Morecambe (aswell!)

I've only just noticed that some funny arse has changed my username! :@

I can deal with that, it's cool. It's ok, we've won, Billy has scored ONLY because i had actual money AGAINST it, unlike Brentwoodgull i DID actually soil myself (SO WHAT'S NEW?) and we are now certain of survival AND Salzburg despatched Tyrolean tossers Wacker Innsbruck in comfortable fashion in the Austrian Cup. Plus the weather in Morecambe on saturday is for sun and i'm going to drive up there, take in a bracing stroll by Morecambe Bay and get in the ground dressed as Billy Bodin with a Bodin mask and everything and sing my b*llocks off for the lads........................................in Welsh. :~D

I said if we won tonight then we would DEFINATELY stay up and i have no reason to change my mind now although i'm sure certain people will be waiting to see if i do. I'm off to Morecambe, i'm counting down the hours, i'm going to enjoy the day and i have a feeling that the lads are going to put it all in to do the business on saturday. The club needs to put on free coaches and we all need to pile up there in numbers and take over the place.

Completely agreed. The Popside went wild when Bodin's shot went in, such was the anger after the equaliser. I am really pleased for Bodin because it is obvious he has ability, hope this gives him confidence.

Just for you from the bbc website

Barnet equalised when Jake Hyde beat the offside trap to head home before Billy Bodin lashed in a strike from the edge of the box

Lashed it in yes Lashed it in from the edge of the box!!!!!

Personally I think we should get a photo of you handing your £10 cheque over to Billy for him to donate to a charity of his choice!!!!!
This obviously depends on your wagerer accepting this

I bet humble pie has never tasted so sweet

It was a hit and hope!

My dear days, what a great evening, but very tense at the end. Well done to the team for 100% commitment tonight, great to see. They kept going against the odds, as Barnet had 13 players, 11 official ones + the ref + the pop side lino. Some first class performances tonight from the players, getting it right at a critical time. Well done to the fans too, right behind the team. Mrs Gullintwoplaces was very impressed with the team tonight, as was I.

I was shocked to see how Davids managed to con the ref tonight again and again. I felt that Barnet were a dirty side, not that talented and they could well go down (although Hyde looked good). Clear offside for their first goal, but Poke should have played to the whistle.

The way Manse set up the build up play for Billy's goal whilst being nearly lying down was amazing. Manse was fantastic tonight and Knilly said on radio that if we had played on Saturday it was touch and go as whether he would play.

You can't ask or expect more than eleven men (plus subs) going out there and doing their absolute best to win a game of football. That's what we got tonight. Not pretty at times but probably the gutsiest and most energetic display I've seen for a while. The job's not done but we've given ourselves a much better chance. Well done to all involved and thank you.

Just heard the result - couldn't be at Plainmoor because I am walking the Coast to Coast trail for the next two weeks. Great result, great night by all accounts and a great chance to save our league status COYY!!!!!
