Ahh yes, anything north or east of Chatteris is basically 6 fingers, big ears and webbed feet country. I'm down in little ol' St Neots.

  You know the area too well. Who can I ask to get a one eyed smiley. :)

I can happily say though that I'm not from these parts so I am reasonably normal - oh arrrrr!

I like St Neots, its got everything that we don't have around here, (if you know what I mean).

I got lost in St Neots on m'Harley once. Went to Wisbeach, twas a carpet factory and a roundabout and that was it. I know a guy who lives in a house in St Neots, he claims it's the only private house in England with a graveyard in the back garden.

Oh, yeah, and Steve, great username.

You don't need a one eyed smiley, just mention your sister in a sexual way and use :whip:

St Neots is decent, generally nice people and a fair bit going on. Shame the town centre is just awful though. Wisbech is a nice town, but then I did visit it on a sunny day. The areas around the river with the oldy worldy houses are nice. Reminded me of Belgium and Holland, a little.

Matt - St Neots is actually famous for silly things. For example, the only British Prime Minister ever to be assassinated was killed by a St Neots man. The town is named St Neots after many residents of the town went to St Neot in Cornwall and stole the bones of Saint Neot himself. The town also lays claim to the 'Eynesbury Giant', James Toller who stood at 7 foot 6 inches and was thought to be the tallest man in the world at that time (late 18th century). It also once had 52 pubs in the town, as in the times of horse and cart, St Neots was a day's ride away from London. Unfortunately, most of the pubs left, (around 30) are a bit rubbish. Although pub golf is fun here.

Anyway, I hope you have learnt something about my little town. I will now stop stealing your thread!
Luke.

Wisbech (or March for that matter) is nothing to shout about. They are your typical Fenland town that has the square root of f**k all entertainment and things to do - unless you like tractors and fields and vegetables etc.

Interestingly though, Wisbech seems famous for its Georgian architecture.

I love having Camb on here, it's as if Wikipedia is a Torquay fan =D

Matt.

Also, Steve, start posting on actual threads.

Welcome OBF! I broke down in Gedney on my way to Norfolk a couple of years ago which is near Wisbech i believe? Also Coley, Doddington is next to Wimblington isn't it? The RSPCA built their new centre BLOCK FEN there a few years ago and i've been offered training courses there.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Hi, I'm Jake from Ascot. I was born in Torbay and been a Torquay fan my whole life, been looking at this site for a while but never signed up. Only managed to make a few games this season; cheltenham at home, plymouth away and aldershot away but followed every game as well as possible. Cheers
