Make that 2002 as my mate from Leeds who lives in Torquay and my brother will be in the away number and will be told they won't be welcome standing with us on the home Popular Side. ;-)

i went to flakirk which was an evening game and around 800 leeds attended.
on the saturday we travelled to motherwell were around 2,000 leeds attended.
ill go along with the 3,500 in norway.
i expect around 2,000 leeds in torquay.
regards.
I stand corrected which will teach me to take the word of a third party without checking the facts first.

I got the figure from a quote by Neil Warnock in a Cornwall paper.
http://www.falmouthpacket.co.uk/sport/9 ... ason_tour/
Checking though at Falkirk there were 772 Leeds fans in a 2065 attendance and 1913 at Motherwell.

I think the Cornwall trip has sparked the imagination in a lot of Leeds fans so I think 2000 would easily go down for the Torquay match. I dont normally do friendlies but I do fancy this one, need to start thinking about travel plans. Any local tips about hotel and b&b accomodation?

the waters edge is my recommendation, close to the railway station, slap bang on the seafront, but anywhere in babbacombe is close to the ground
still keeping the faith

Be surprised if that's true. I dont think our new stand will be in use for that game as it's 'opening' is against Stoke a bit later on. I'd imagine you'll just get the thousand tickets in the away end and I'd also expect a few Leeds fans to be in the home stands.

Remember back in the '70s when Torquay played in the white kit with the stripe down the side ?

I've still got my "Leeds" scarf, oops, TUFC scarf. :-D

You know the one . . . white with at intervals across it . . . three stripes with the two blue stripes either side of the yellow one.

How stewards will distinguish between Torquay supporters of old and Leeds fans in the same colours on the Popside will definitely be a laugh to witness.

COME ON YOU WHITES !

It will be open alright. They'll call it a trial run or something.

Agree with Parry.

The "official" (ceremonial) opening of the stand is against Stoke.

To have the complete stand finished (changing rooms, Westlands computer suites, etc) before use makes no sense if the "front of house" is ready and safe to use.

The changing rooms on the other side will still be in use ?

Don't like that attitude Trojan. You may be joking, but all football supporters should be welcome everywhere. This is a friendly club.

It's in the interests of powers-that-be everywhere to create and maintain us-and-them situations, which we accept as normal. Applied to the world at large, that's how they control. Divide and rule!

Maybe next year we can come and play you when we do a tour of Lancashire.

If he's joking (which he is) football fans ARE welcome everywhere, because jokes are seldom regulatory.
