Same old routine. Same under-performing players. No new ideas. Can't shoot. Still missing scoring opportunities. Our weaknesses will be exploited and we'll give away more silly goals. We'll lose. We're doomed. And relegation will be confirmed by Exeter City when they beat us at St James Park.

Sadly Pompey winning 2-0 against ten men. Somebody must have paid for a proper ref for this game, unlike the dickhead that we got against Newport.

Not looking good the way other results are going. Bury and Pompey both 2 up.
Much better performance than last Saturday. I dare say if we'd shown that much fight last week we'd have seen off Newport quite comfortably.
We're second best, but not by much. Neither keeper has been seriously tested. We've got flashes of promise - Cameron has looked far better than I've seen before, Nico isn't being torn a new one every two minutes, Stockley and Hawley have been far more mobile than Showumni/Benyon and have linked up ok, and Bodin must be up against a lead-footed dwarf as even he's won a few headers.
Where we are losing out badly is midfield. Manse and Harding are anonymous, immobile and when they do get the ball they invariably waste it. Bodin has bottled a few challenges (nothing new) and Pearce looks to be having one of those lairy days.
It's an improvement, and you can tell the home fans are getting impatient. Unfortunately we lack the quality on the ball and up front to make this anything more than a point, maximum.

But Bury are 2-0'up at Northampton, which is surely a good thing!A Realist wrote:Not looking good the way other results are going. Bury and Pompey both 2 up.
Not really imo as it puts another team further from the reach. Would prefer that to be a draw at worst, if not a Northampton win.gullintwoplaces wrote: But Bury are 2-0'up at Northampton, which is surely a good thing!

Best midfield player recently seems to be Lathrope and worst attacker is Hawley, but Lathrope out and Hawley in. Yeoman who has scored despite hardly any game time is on the bench as is our new attacker. Really sums up the wierd team selection this year.

Can't agree there. We will not catch Bury, as they are seven points ahead of us, but we might catch Northampton. What we really have to do is win games though, and that seems very unlikely.A Realist wrote:Not really imo as it puts another team further from the reach. Screwed over by the officials. Once again. Not looking forward to even worse refs again next season. Scott Mathieson has been a joke in every match I've seen him. File with Darren Deadman, Gary Sutton, Darren Sheldrake, Keith Stroud, Jarnail Singh etc etc.

Its the likes of Bury, Pompey, Bristol Rovers and Wycombe we want to lose.
