Ok so we have no money Scott, I accept that. The only thing we now have is that mysterious of things - BLIND FAITH and HOPE. A heady cocktail to be trying to convincingly gatecrash the conference party with.
I'd rather have confidence and a bit of expectation as a fan. Either way, once again it is out of our hands and we just have to trust in those who have made these decisions that they know what they are doing.............
Silence tonight

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I personally think we'll do ok next season - Greavsie does have a fair amount of experience at Conference having spent a lot of his playing career there and has a couple of promotions from it - so should know what is required.
The difference from this season will be that it will be his side, he can keep and chuck whoever he wants from the current crop and will hopefully sign well - i think we can expect to have a reasonable side as one of the bigger fish in that league.
It should be a bit of both HOPE he signs the right players and EXPECTATIONS that we can do ok.

He most certainly will not be able to 'cull' or keep whoever he likes he will have as many if not more restraints next season as he has now. The club he is managing will be just as.much of a mess next season as it is now and as for his wish to bring through youth players well the less said about that the better the youth system he has inherited does.not work has also failed on every level and without the funding which will be gone at.the.end of season 1 in the conference has no hope whatsoever. The fiasco that is seal hayne is laughable at best academy 3 my eye academy nothing without funding= no youth either.

I think we are all aware that Thea cannot continue to suffer "open cheque book" surgery, and I cannot recall having seen any calls for her to put in more money.
What I/we are looking for is an acknowledgement that this season has not been all we hoped for, but that there is some plan to instigate improvements next season. ST holders, new and existing, will be reluctant to flush their money down the toilet unless they are given something to believe in.
I do not believe anyone is expecting cash to be splashed wantonly ...but just saying we have no F**KING money is presenting the problem without offering a solution....... "OK, so tell me why I should invest mine for next year - what are you going to do differently that will make me want to spend my money on your product?" Because without some reassurance we will NEVER HAVE ANY f**king MONEY!
