10 mins plus stoppage to go. Can we do what other teams have done to us late on and get something out of this game?

We're definitely the better team this half, but our first half performance which I think is the worst at Plainmoor this season has cost us the game.

Clearly with a man advantage getting someone sent off on half time for a head butt and giving away a penalty sort of beggars belief really.
We are a joke team with a joke manager - Hargreaves "remit" has failed spectacularly.

Will someone please explain to me why a manager of a team who are 2 goals down takes off a forward for a defender. Unbelievable!

I think it was Pellegrini who answered this question a couple of years ago along the lines of "this is why fans aren't football managers, there's no point in having strikers if you don't have the ball to give to them."

Except on this occasion the opposition were down to 10 men, as well, and obviously were happy to defend their lead. Torquay needed all the forwards available.

I was thinking the same at the time, why take off a striker and bring on a defender. I think the way Barnet were playing we had to bring on McDonald but who to take off? Ives maybe and go 3-4-2. To go one up front against a team happy to sit back and hold their lead when 2-0 down seemed crazy.

Richards took his goal well to give us some hope, but Barnet's constant time wasting put paid to any chance of a come back. Ricey got a yellow last week for time wasting. They didn't even get a speaking to by the ref this week. The inconsistency of refereeing in this league is disgraceful.

In the first half, they had a player go down due to a clash of heads and the ref immediately stops play. Pearce goes down in the 2nd half in similar fashion and the ref waves play on and they hit the post and almost score.

I heard that a referee assessor was in the ground today. Let's hope that he has a similar opinion to the rest of us on this refs performance. Utter disgraceful.
