Was a bit of a surprise - especially after the Herald's story this morning. Glad to see they're as well informed as ever.
It had to happen though. Relegation last season with barely a whimper and now in the bottom half of a regional league, only scoring in 3 of the 9 games. He can't have any complaints.
Easy bit done. Now we just have to get the appointment right...

Rumours are starting..............It needs to be a football person who makes the decision, but I get the feeling that they already have someone lined up. Who takes charge at Hungerford? Assuming that the new boss is not announced before then.........

that's got nothing to do with it? his loan ends simple as that... word has it that Alfreton want him back anyway... although surely no decision will be made until the new manager has run his finger over the side....

I have to say that I'm surprised its happened, but GO cant have any complaints.
I think I must have dropped on a "decent" halfs performance v HH at home.....
Probably the worst manager result wise - which is what its supposed to be based on - in the clubs history.
No passion, no desire, no togetherness - defo for the best....
The thing that makes my p155 boil is that he has lasted as long as he has with the dire performances and results we have seen in the last year.
Now, I wonder who Uncle Clarke has got in mind.........?????

dennisk... Are you asking if Owers was spying on our future FA Cup opponents or assessing his own capabilities for managing at Hellenic League Premier Division level

Ha Ha. If he WAS there, then he was unaware of the forthcoming dismissal. Despite everything, I do wish him well and hope he gets another shot at management. He was let down (big time) by his squad. Of course, we don't know what goes on behind closed doors. Maybe he lost the dressing room.Launceston Gull wrote: ↑12 Sep 2018, 15:25 dennisk... Deja vu then. For the second year running we sack a manager a few games into the season after he has spunked the budget when it was blindingly obvious he should have gone in the summer.
The calibre of the next manager will give a real indication of Osbourne's ambition for the club; will he shell out on an able and experienced man or just plump for the cheap option again?
As to the current squad it will be interesting to see what an able tactician can do with them without any additions. Personally feel we are going to get another season in this division.
