laugh all you like Andy, that is the way its going, and its better than what we have had, and we probably had some of the best times under his reign as chairman, i think you will find he stood down due to ill health last time.

Is Alex Rowe the one who was chairman appointed first after the Boyce/Bristow consortium took over? Overseeing the Buckle years?

I remember two chairmen in that period and can't remember which one was which.

I want to say the other guy in my head is Simon somebody........? Used to always stand on the terraces amongst the fans?

Whereas Rowe was much less "public" but presided over a particularly successful tenure - albeit when we had a budget the like of which we've not seen before or since

ROWE TOOK OVER FROM MERVYN BENNEY IN 2007 AND THEN STEPPED DOWN IN 2009 WHEN SIMON BAKER TOOK OVER,

Give them a chance. If Nicho didn't like what he had heard and didn't agree then I'm sure he would say.

It's been 5 days. What chance do they have if no one gives them one!!!!
I wouldn't bet on it. Speaking out against your employers can be a risky business.......just ask Alan Pardew.

Rowe left last time because wild Bill Phillips made important and (what Rowe saw as fairly dodgy) decisions whilst he was on holiday. Make no mistake him coming back into the fold is a positive.

A lovely story from DW, but in terms of online sleuthing, it's about as accurate as the Reddit attempt to identify the Boston marathon bombers.

I still don't trust GI. Their track record is appalling and if we could have avoided them it would have been better for us I believe. However they must surely realise as a company another 'shifty' episode with a football club will surely see their name and those of their directors tarnished completely. They also have a lot to lose. It is in everyone's interest to get this relationship and its outcomes right.

I thought Rowe left at the same time as the Boyce brothers - sometime after the departure of Colin Lee.

Yep I think that's correct. He ceased to be a Director then. He stepped down as Chair around the ending of the Lee CEO era so Scott you could be right in that connection. Happy Christmas everyone by the way.

If this is true and Alex Rowe does come back its really good news. He is a fan, and a totally good bloke, I know from personal experience

I'd rather have one Alex Rowe back than a thousand Bill Phillips'.
