PL21, I think you were quite right in your comments, even Johnson said we lacked quality in front of goal, too many players making the wrong decision on the edge of the area, yes it was blowing a gale , but if the winds were 30/35 MPH as stated hen that is nothing unusual for either Torquay or our players to deal with. I like that Johnson finally acknowledged that the same players are being flogged to death week in week out without a recovery break while their more elderly colleagues play one, rest one. Also the comment by dave the gull is not so daft as it seems, Sutton had some bad injuries last Saturday and strangely their match last night on astra turf is called off for allegedly being frozen whereas the match down the road at Bromley goes ahead, and there's me thinking that these 4G pitches are all weather.

Not a great game with conditions as they were although I thought we started fairly well but couldn’t make it last. Injuries are hampering us again, just like last season. Were they all injured or is there something else going on? As someone has mentioned on another topic is it our training methods that need looking at?
I did think Olaf looked fairly sound in what he did when he came on, especially with one superb volleyed cross that deserved someone on the end of it. Maybe he deserves another chance?
Anyway on to our beloved Woking on Saturday with a dress rehearsal for the FA Trophy!

I thought Olaf did very well and deserves more game time on that showing. Improved his strength on the ball and put some good crosses over but no-one was showing any anticipation and busting a gut to get on the end of them and make it theirs. Oh for another Steve Cooper
Disappointed with Andrews , he is too pedestrian and not with pace of the other players , the whole move slows down when
he gets the ball while he takes too many touches looking for the perfect ball. Still waiting to hear the story with Sheaf Randell must be kept in centre midfield though . Even Cameron, Sherring, Lewis , Hall and Whitfield didn't look at their usual level. Really miss Nemane, CLE, and of course Wright.

Why did the club shoehorn in the Alty game when we already had a tight schedule?

This season if continues will be about survival of the fittest.... And luckiest when it comes to injuries.
This point might end up being invaluable come the end of the season.
Other teams will suffer for sure. Can we get key players back in time to keep the promotion challenge. The chasing pack seem to be putting goid runs together. Hartlepool won 4 of the last 5, Notre county won the last 3. Even Hollywood Wrexham are coming good. it seems lifetime ago when bt showed us live taking hartlepool apart.
Remember those teams who keep postponing will have to make up at some point by playing once every two days or something ridiculous.
My only complaint is why do we not use the loan market better when we have these injury crisis?
Just hope we can start putting a winning run together but realistically with the injuries that looks a long shot. But ever the hopeful lets start e th a win at the old enemy Saturday.

I think you're only allowed 5 loans.

We already have Sherring, Randell, Street, Sheaf and Hamon (reserve GK) on loan. That's 5.

Sherring and Randell are important players for us. Shead and Street looked like good guys to bring in, even if it's not panned out that way so far, and we needed another keeper after Covolan got hurt. Seems to me like we're already using the loan market pretty well.

We'd have to send one back if were to get another one in. Presumably Hamon will go back to Truro once Covolan returns, so that might give us one to play with.

Re the last posting my understanding is that you can have as many loan players as you like but cannot name more than five in your match day squad.

oh, fair enough then. Although why'd you have more than 5 loans if it meant you'd have to leave one out of the squad is another question.

I just watched the highlights
Easy to say I know but if Shaun had positioned himself in the middle of the goal he would have saved the Mendy strike.
Given were Cameron was Mendy had to shoot to his left and it was not as if he found the corner of the net he did not.
Sorry if you think I am being unfair but I watched it 5 times!
We did miss a lot of headers. On another day 4-0 to United because Wealdstone did not really offer much.

I agree - he should not have let that in
He was slow going for it - clearly not expecting the shot.
Wealdstone were actually as poor as I expected and should have been beaten comfortably. At the risk of repeating myself we need to show more determination to attack crosses and really want it

Our difficulty is surely going to be if we want experience it's going to be difficult. Who wants to live at best in a hotel away from their family at this time? Our peripheral location will make life tricky.
