I've been led to believe yesterday Chris Hargreaves is the man.

Apologies for the thick question - In respect of Hargreaves - Do we not need special dispensation to employ someone without coaching badges

I do not know if it is mandatory, however you would expect and manager of a league 2 club to atleast have a level 4(uefa "A") badge,i was led to believe that he was working towards these coaching badges however i do not know if is the case.

More names now added.

I see John Beck is on the list at 16-1. God help us if that comes to fruition!

Uwe Rosler wont get it, he's going to Brentford.

Buckle turned them down because they are too small a club

Why is John Gregory,Mark Robins etc there? Not a chance they'll have any interest coming down here. Would be class if it happened though.

theres a recession on, they will all need to feed their family, someone big may feel like a challenge for a 12 month contract, you never know, the board may surprise us with a big name, doubt it, but it could happen?

if i was a top manager i think the best way to prove my skills would be to manage a struggler like us, anyone could manage barca, or real, or chelsea. its a team with no budget thats the real challenge, why i respect o'neill, hairy redknob etc so much, worked their way up in the proper manner!

whos on twitter, i'm not but was just thinking how easy it would be to spread the word about some outsider and see if bookies pick up on gossip, or just revise prices when bets are placed, interesting that bruce rioch is so high up the list, when hes hardly been mentioned in football management circles for ages, i reckon they've seen him mentioned and just bunged him on at 8/1. who could we pick??
