Aaron Barnes has just been signed by Colchester United so that's his loan to us from Charlton all over before it had really got started ~ part of the territory of using other club's players!

My previous comment on these loanees is where I rest my case : " good experience for their career development... not so good for the development of the club".merse btpir wrote: ↑31 Jan 2018, 22:07 Aaron Barnes has just been signed by Colchester United so that's his loan to us from Charlton all over before it had really got started ~ part of the territory of using other club's players!

The club is where it is precisely because of the manner in which it has been ~ and is being ~ run....it's Mickey Mouse followed by Pluto at the moment and no-one at the top has a ruddy clue!

Perhaps some credit should be given to the manager for arranging Aaron Barnes to be loaned back to us.
Appears to be decent acquisition if he can continue to influence like he did in his first match.

I take your point WHG and normally i'd agree however it's not much use having credit for one loanee that does really well if the rest of the team are poor and the club end up getting relegated. In isolation though you have a point.
The way i view it is if we stay up then absolutely, give credit to Owers. Until then though...........no. None.

Don't get me wrong I think He has been a very poor manager so far.Yorkieandy wrote: ↑01 Feb 2018, 12:07 I take your point WHG and normally i'd agree however it's not much use having credit for one loanee that does really well if the rest of the team are poor and the club end up getting relegated. His original loanees were all awful and I think this will cost us our place this year.
But there has been some signs of improvement and this might help us next year

I'm hoping that Owers isn't here next year. If he is it's another relegation.
Fair enough though WHG. If he is here next season then it's better to try and get a positive and get a nucleus of players together to help improve things on the pitch going forward.

With the quality of player he has been bringing in not really holding my breath for anything outstanding next season.
Jack Compton announces he is leaving Bath.......
