The lottery going up to 2 quid. As someone who picked the same line of numbers from the outset i'm screwed. I wouldn't mind if they paid out a tenner for 2 numbers but it's just something else to enjoy being ripped off with. Sigh.

Well it wont affect me Andy, because I dont do it, and my advice to you is, do the same. It's a tax on the stupid (no offence) most of whom can litttle afford it in the first place.
I used to have a couple of quid (never been a gambler) but I was on the committee of a local Rugby League club who applied for £100,000 to build a sports hall so the kids could train in it during the bad weather, and it could be rented out to the community etc bringing in much needed revenue. It was turned down flat as the club had to have 10% of the requested amount in place, and it was financially on its knees.
Around the same time the Royal Opera House in London received £50 million to refurbish, decorate and upgrade the building, and a club called something like The London Black Gay and Lesbian Association received a grant to run workshops for something or other (memory fails me).

That was 15 years ago and I've never bought a ticket since (incidently Wembley getting a massive grant from them didn't temper my stance, a game awash with stupid money for players holding out the begging bowl for £1000 million for a new National stadium because they claimed they couldn't afford the cost?)

I was going to say that, like one or two others, I'm fed up with everybody whinging moaning and ranting on this thread, but I've just read through most of it again and I'm beginning to think it's actually amazingly interesting and entertaining and a credit to the members of this forum, who present themselves as intelligent, knowledgeable and perceptive. I salute their curmudgeonly malcontentedness, and, since I love stirring things up, I urge them to go forth from this thread and whinge, moan, rant and complain on other threads and on other football forums.

Get it all out of your systems, and then use your energies to bring a friend along to matches and to shout your support for our lads as they progress up the table to an end-of-season promotion challenge..!!

This guy, having worked as a fireman then moved across country to be a house husband caring for two kids who were not his own, was depressed and suicidal.

Cannot help thinking that if he had been a woman or if his partner had been at home looking after the kids and had done this, she would have had all possible support, and the case would never have come to court.

Our oven has broken down. No big deal, its insured and the rest of the cooker still works. But the engineer needs a product number and model number from a long gone stick on I.D. plate, and there's nothing on the back, so i've been searching. I've found the paperwork/instructions for the washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave, 3 tellys, vacuum cleaner, breadmaker, Kinect, taser, electric chair in fact everything except the bloody cooker!

Googled the heck out if it and it's either the probe or the keypad mularky
Can I find any model/serial number to get the correct $30 temperature probe...as heck as like I can
Cooking will be intermiitent for a while until I can prioritise the spend....

The heater on our 2003 Passat has packed up - not funny when it is -20C outside.
Sounds like the heater core is plugged, not an expensive part, only problen is you need to dismantle most of the vehicle to fit it. Take a look at the clip! OMFG

Emet, if there are no stickers on the back of the machine and the ID inside the door is gone, the only other place is sometimes on the front panel.

Otherwise, go back to the retailer you bought it from, they might still have a record.

If worst comes to worst, PM me a picture of it with an approx age and brand name and I can try and find it for you. I work in the industry!
