Joke. 'WHY' springs to mind....We didn't gain anything from the game, yet they deduct us a point!! Pathetic.

3 points was always on the cards for them as they gained points whilst fielding an ineligiable player - whereas we gained nothing whilst doing the same thing.

I do hope however this does not end up getting them relegated

if this is correct (nowt on Hereford OS as of yet), that means to me that we're worse off than them. they are back to zero from the game, we'll be -1. ridiculous. :@

It is very strange, but maybe the one point deduction comes as part of the mistake we made before?

Exactly Richinns but they seem to be under some sort of illusion that they should be allowed to keep at least two of the points that they gained illegally whilst it's ok for us to lose a point that we earned whilst having done nothing wrong. They don't appear to have a fine though which we do so we have been punished enough. Their logic amuses me.
Lets see how the next couple of games pan out before thinking of appealing. If we appeal and lose could our punishment be made more severe?

Ok they also have a £10,000 fine.

Even though Hereford gained 3 points and we gained nothing in this game - a fine for both clubs would have been enough here. Both teams have not sought to deliberately cheat and benefit by these actions - they were mistakes and the punishment should reflect that.

F@cking FA

It's the Football League not the FA.

They've punished us more on the fine and Hereford more on the points. To me it makes sense. The only disappointing thing is we've lost a point that we didn't cheat to gain.

I also think the FL/FA whoever is in charge of the fixtures needs to take a long look at themselves. Certain players eliglble, certain players not all because of timing following a transfer window that closed less than 24 hours before a round of fixtures. Utter lunacy.

As a supporter of a small club you just have to accept and expect to be made an example of by these gutless **nts in charge of our game.

What happens in regard to the goals?

As Hereford have been deducted the 3 points, does that not mean the result is now void? Which would surely mean that 3 goals come off their goal difference, and 1 off ours? If we got in the play offs on 1 extra goal, surely that is going to cause all kinds of problems?

With the fact it would benefit us by having the game chalked down as a 0-0, I'd imagine the chasing pack would rather take the chance and leave it as it is.
