We made Farnborough look very ordinary, which they were, and it was one of those games were once we scored we never in reality looked like losing.
We lined up with 2 changes to the back 4 with Donnellan reverting to RB and Dean Moxey replacing Dan Martin. In midfield De Silva was left out and Will Jenkins Davies had a good game.
GJ decided to bring in Brett McGavin to play as a link man and Craske was left out as Donnellen moved to the back 4.
McGavin had a much better game and deservedly got a good ovation from the crowd when substituted late in the game.
Overall our best performance in our 4 Home League games to date sees us up to 4th spot afer 8 games. Early days.

Teddiebear, so what exactly was our excuse last saturday, stayed overnight friday and had a half hour trip to the ground posible less than some of the aveley players, it didnt do us much good.

there weren't any excuses. We were crap and deserved to lose by more than we did. Sometimes you have to say that you're made to look poor by the opposition, much as Farnborough were last night. Too soon to say whether a corner has been turned, but a clean sheet, the beginnings of a rehabiliation for McGavin, and 3 goals from our two strikers.
About as good as you could reasonably hope for - need to win again on Saturday now.

Whitfields dim arrsed partner was all over facebook and twitter before the season ended touting Whitfield for a move away. Cameron and Nemame? no way they would have stayed.
Cameron said he had offers from the football league....yet (allegedly) turned them down and went to err non league Notts County just the same. Nemane could wait to scuttle off and join his best mate there. Covolan already had his move sorted before the play off final.
Obviously their coach would have air con - are you seriously suggesting that a second game in quick succession/long journey/hot conditions for the part timers had no effect on their performance lats night?
Their manager referred to the difficulty of playing the follow up game in his after match interview. They hardly had a kick second half and had gone in completely by then.

A good 3-0 victory and 3 points in the bag, but Farnborough were a very poor side. Halstead had a deserved night off thankfully. Follow this up on Saturday with another victory and the table will look even better.
Onwards and upwards.
