He is on a yellow card (again) and has taken a knock in the first half.
on a yellow through his own dissent, needs to take more accountability
4-1

Anyone got the number of the Samaritans?
17 losses and 66 goals conceded.
Downes is a very nice manager but he can't organise a defense or inspire. We need passion. Can someone beg Neil Warnock to give us a month to kick some ass. Are we even allowed to get anyone in now?

If we start a game with the likes of Tomlinson, McGavin and Ash we wont win at this stage in a relegation fight
Not strong enough

For those that maintain that 9 points will give us nominal safety, perhaps they can explain where they are coming from, listening to the radio, we got done on the break for the first and second and fourth and we did not learn, we need the new owners in now, not in the last week of the season, lets be honest we will be far less attractive to any buyer if we are playing in the southern league next season.

Yes being in the Southern League will be an unmitigated disaster which we must avoid. Unfortunately the reality is that we are going to get nowhere near that with the defensive personnel we have.
It is quite unbelievable the results we are getting. 7 goals conceded against Tonbridge/Taunton. SOmething is seriously wrong.

The bottom line, as we all know, is the complete "blindness" of GJ to the results, last season, before the mini good run in last March and April. We shipped goals all last season at an alarming rate. But, as soon as we had the mini run, GJ thought he still had it - as a manager.
So he re signs a bunch of wholly inadequate players which DID NOT actually address the underlying problem- letting in too many goals:
Tomlinson brought back from loan, to "develop" I assume
Moxey ; still a good player on the ball, but losing a lot of pace, NOT a central defender
Crowe will be the new Wynter!
Marshall ( under contract) will have to fit in somewhere.
Donellan - a utility player
Hall ( however good a few years ago) injury prone and lacking pace.
That is the root of where we are now.
IF he had actually signed a squad that would not concede and we could score some up the other end, then we would have beed second or third by late Autumn.
Therefore no protests/ no disquiet ( apart from the ongoing silence from CO)
Would CO have still walked away under that scenario? Not sure. He was going to walk away at some stage, but GJ's complete lack of facing the defensive problem has added to the situation we find ourselves in.

What’s this 9 point crap? 9 points will not be enough to keep us up! Went today thought we were the better footballing side BUT cannot defend or make chances!! Or even a shot on goal apart from the goal! 5/6 times they opened us up 1v1, everyone goes on about ash but a least he runs/ hassles, Jarvis waste of fu—ing time!

Jarvis and Ash should have been tearing this league up. The pair of them have failed miserably.
Jarvis cannot jump and win a header to save his life and heading for a 3rd successive relegation on his CV. A Marquee signing don’t forget agree a waste of time !

Still it's not all bad news..if this continues we'll be able to travel to the likes of Tavistock.. Exmouth and Bideford as well some other unknown grounds at this rate next season!!!
