Indeed - a natural regression is already occurring, but I do feel that a concerted effort from disillusioned fans turning up at Plainmoor but then not actually paying on the turnstiles may highlight that, as a fanbase, we do still care about the club. If something was properly organised and a decent % of the fan base made the effort (a few hundred of those who are currently not attending games), then it would send a message.
At the moment the drop in crowds is probably just what the owners want - the more insignificant TUFC becomes to its fanbase, the easier it will be for a closure in the future.
It isn't the greatest idea in the world, I know, but I personally am past the point of waiting and praying that GI have a change of heart - it simply isn't going to happen.

However, sometimes there is a need for action. I know that there are others here like myself who are at least willing to try something, even if to no avail!
Natural regression in crowd sizes won't stir anyone, some form of specific notable action has to be taken. There is no doubt that the action taken by some members on this board have at least 'thrown an oar' into the issues surrounding the stadium saga.
Anyone can sit back and be one of the passive moaning crowd, (even criticising others for their efforts..) and watch the club decline or you can make the choice to get off your arse and at least try to do something to make a difference!
I know what I choose and I encourage others to take some form of positive action

If a drop in crowds is just what GI want, how will fans turning up at the turnstiles, but not paying to go in, help? Won't that just play into their hands?
I also have this vision of a group of fans standing outside the turnstiles and voicing their disgust then, at 3pm, the turnstiles close, all attention turns to the pitch and the same group of fans are left standing around outside. By 3.15pm, evryone just shrugs their shoulders and goes home. Pointless protest but highly amusing.
Lets be honest, as unhappy as we are, the club simply isn't big enough or have a big enough connection with the Torbay public to really generate any interest in our plight.

I'd suggest some kind of pre-match protest outside where the club officials enter the ground - the team on the pitch need our support more than ever and it is no fault of their own that they are also wrapped up in this!
That said, I truly hope that by Saturday we will have an new experienced gaffer at the helm and we can turn up and get behind the man and put all this chaos behind us.
Whilst I'd still be dismayed by the conduct of the club during the process (particularly in relation to poor communication and a total lack of expectations set at the outset), I just want to see a decent manager in charge and a rapid turnaround on the pitch first and foremost.

The way I see it is: say 1200 turn up and pay on Saturday, but a few hundred (it would need to be at least this to make any impact) also turn up but do not actually enter the ground. Follow the
whole game through radio or whatever. I think it shows that the fans still actually care at the moment - because I think that even a large % of those who have stopped attending still care, they just can't bear to see what is happening at the club anymore.
At the end of the day, the way I see it now is we either accept what is happening and accept the bleak future with owners taking fans for a ride, eventually seeing crowds drop into triple figures, or we rally and try and do more to oust them. As I say, the above idea is not the greatest, but as alluded to, we do not have the fanbase currently to create much interest - unless we begin following Charlton's/Orient's lead of getting games delayed/postponed where possible.

I know the press read these forums as I have seen incorrect information relayed here on many occasion this year make it to DevonLive / Herald, so if the press are reading this then perhaps it would be pertinant to publicise the threat of a mass boycott / protest at the ground this Saturday, maybe the warning alone would be sufficient to nudge the club into some form of communication to allay the unrest somewhat?
Alternatively, I'm sure a group of vocal supporters congregating outside the club office ahead of the game on Saturday would have the capacity to send a message loud and clear? Perhaps it would provide the opportunity to quiz club officials on the state of play whether they like it or not!

What's going on?
Not a lot on the surface.
It could ALL be going on, we could have a local board (unlikely) and a manager virtually in place but for some bizarre reasons the club is not communicating.
Perhaps they have a communications manager / PR role that needs filling?! If it takes this long to fill a key management role then who knows how long it would take to fill an administrative role!
The silence has gone beyond unprofessional.
At least previous regimes would issue statements via the website or press. Poor Nicho got told off by the club for being to vocal on social media...at least he was willing to speak out!
