I was hoping we might have had some confirmation of Pearce today. Perhaps they were given the day off after the match and open day and this will be sealed tomorrow (fingers crossed!).

Ask and you will receive!!

Massive signing this one - a real coup and a defensive partnership of Downes and Pearce is a very solid base indeed.

super - any chance they had blue shorts for the photos??!!

Perhaps he is hoping that Notts County will in fact have enough money in the budget for him to stay, or his agent is working on a better deal for him & he is just stringing Knill along as a fall back option.

Some people really need to lighten up. I'm a bot of a pessimist myself, but compared to some on here, I'm positively beaming with optimism.

Not quite. End of October last year with loans to Pompey and Cheltenham after that...

we could play with a couple of tiny terriers up front quite easily if we play a passing game with a bit of intelligence, keep the ball played on the deck and the crosses low (much harder to defend against), rather than lumping the ball up and hoping a forward can get on the end of it.
Didn't Bury play with Ajose (5'8") and Ryan Lowe (5'9") up front under Knill?

A "big man" is not a necessity, a good striker is.

From that article Fonda posted it sounds like it is all done. But don't let facts get in the way of your negativity :)

Well Bournemouth now have 5 fit strikers with Tubbs going to Rotherham. Maybe lessons our chances of getting Stockley in the near future :-(
Stockley is nowhere near Championship ready. If Bournemouth get that desperate, they'll sign loan cover.

Matt.

Oh, I see, thought he meant Stockley. Yeah, Pearce is ours, has been for a few days, just not crossed Ts and dotted Is. Of course, that didn't prevent the usual suspects...

Matt.
