A lot of Port Vale fans on their twitter seem to say positive things about him. Sometimes you see lots of negatives but seems some genuine disappointment his contract was terminated.

Whitfield is definitely a player who could be playing higher. Appears he's had a bit of a falling out with Askey at Port Vale and is looking to rehabilitate his career so hopefully GJ can get the best out of him and keep him motivated. Can play as a winger or a no. 10 so a bit of versatility as well. Think Kalala coming on as a late sub could be quite a handy role for him.

Cundy seems like a good signing. Wonder if this means Lewis will return to Swansea?
