We will be doing what you've done this season, trying to stay in League Two.
Sorry for not answering previously, Jake is a quality player. Some fans will disagree but the thing I enjoy most about watching him play is his intention to attack at any opportunity. He might go quiet in spells, what wide player doesn't? When he's on form he's fantastic to watch, I really hope he does well for you, he'd have had a lot more goals for us if Buckle had used him properly and in his favoured position on the right.

Unfortunately not, he's taken half our back room staff, got Stanley on a free who would've been here if we'd offered him a contract and is likely to take Branston and Zebs at some point too.INGJWETRUST wrote:
Things ain't that bad are they? You guys were unlucky not to win the play-offs..... it's only Buckley that's gone so far isn't it?
If Chrissy Hargreaves takes charge you'll be up there again next season....

He starts off fantastically, plays brilliantly and quickly becomes a favourite, then he starts of tail off and eventually becomes quite an average player. He very much did that with us and although was still a dangerous player, he did go off the boil. The only other thing was that we kept playing him on the left wing and he doesn't have the greatest of left feet, if you play him on the right, I'd be very interested to see how he does.
As for Gilligan, I didn't personally see him play but apart from a superb assist in his first game, I don't think he seemed very up for it.
Oh well....looks like we've signed a dud then eh?
Still....if he scores 16 goals for us next season, I'll take that - along with 10 from Bayo, 15 from Harrad, 5 from McKay, 10 from Arran Davies (if we get him from Pish), 5 from John Johnson, 5 from Webster (if we get him from Donny), 5 from Ben Tozer (if we get him from Newcastle)..... oh and maybe 5 from Taigh Purcell who has still to come back from massive ligament damage when we signed him last July....
Here's hoping we can remember how to score goals again....
It's going to be a very tough division next season....

I wouldn't say you've signed a dud, he'll still be a dangerous player and will still get you a decent goal tally for a winger. Not sure about 16 but you could realistically look at 10.INGJWETRUST wrote:

He joined the Sixfields Galacticos?
That's yet another hefty kick in the swingers, then.

I doesn't surprise me, but I don't think it's a bad thing, necessarily. It's the same old thing; football is a short career, might as well make the money you can when you can.tufcbrett wrote:are rumors true that he turned us and rovers down to join them? wouldnt suprise me. MONEY!!!
Hey, maybe he didn't want to go to Rovers because he was pissed off with playing out of position

All part of the new 'break even' stategy by saving money on phone calls.he said the club didn't get in contact with him and thanks for all the support.
If we want to save money it would certainly make sense to appoint a Scotsman as the new manager.
