Just looking at the results - the last time we kept a clean sheet was against Accrington on the 2 March (drew 0-0), and before that when Taylor was in charge v Exeter.

In fact we have only kept SIX clean sheets all season.

We'll get a result today, we're made of sterner stuff nowadays.

When we win, York and Aldershot win.

When we draw, York and Aldershot win.

When we lose, York and Aldershot win.

Let's be honest, this is what will likely happen...

I'd rather lose 2-1 and having attempts than 1-0 and camping in our own half.
Either way = zero points

Big 45 minutes to come for us.

Do we want Football League or trips to Barrow?

It's all about the old cliches of taking each time as it comes and not looking at the other teams fixtures to see where they might drop points because it's pretty much a lottery now. ANYTHING can happen in ANY game from now until the end of the season and we just have to go to Gillingham and try to get a win regardless of if we think we've no chance of it. The other teams will be doing the same so we simply have to give everything each gameand see where it takes us. It's like the bottom of the Championship, Barnsley went on a really superb run a few months back yet they're still near the bottom, likewise Posh who have had some cracking wins yet are near the bottom. It's madness. The only good thing is that our league is now like that and if you are are Rochdale, Daggers or Wycombe then i wouldn't be counting your chickens just yet. It is possible that 2 of 11 or 12 teams could still yet go down. I still have faith.

Oh and Scott, yes you are right it is still zero points but a defeat when having a real go breeds confidence and belief for next time whilst a 'Ling' defeat just reinforces the expectation of another one next time around.

Coley, if we lose today then i will have to say my confidence that we stay up has gone but the expectation that we are going down hasn't resurfaced. In fact i'd be just a bit bemused as i really don't know what is going to happen to us. All we can do is sit and wait and it's f*cking agony at the moment. I just want a couple of wins to put it all to bed and we can relax but it's not happening. :'(

So long as we keep our heads above water we have a chance but i fear a defeat today and at Gillingham next weekend could see us drop into the bottom 2 and that is not good, not good at all. The fact is that we have only won 2 in 9 under Knill and now we need to win another 2 in 4 including one at Priestfield. It's not Knills fault but should results stay as they are today then forget what i said above, i am starting to think we could be for the drop. To get no points from Northampton / Bradford and Gillingham would make Barnet a must win and whilst it still won't be mathematically impossible if that happened, it would make us very very fortunate indeed to retain our league status.

As i finish we go 3-1 down.
I've just depressed myself now. :@
