Can the squad be strengthened enough to save us?

Yes hurst is now permanently at guiseley http://guiseleyafc.co.uk/first-team-new ... permanent/ confirmed there as well as in the paper.

What worries me is we only have two loan slots left, one if Wright returns. We're then left trying to sign people permanently. There are a lot of free agents about, but sorting the wheat from the chaff is difficult. Even if Wright returns were still another winger and a central midfielder short at least, and I would probably like one or two more for a healthy squad.

Both Harrad and Ajala are also cup-tied for the FA Trophy so we may aswell write that cup off straight away

If the squad is that thin, perhaps we ought to bow out of the FA trophy and concentrate on survival.

Hahaha, this is so us. We get a bloke in who looks alright good even. At any other club, that means a season of chasing promotion, then a nice windfall and some positive publicity over the summer.

For us, it means he goes, in January, on a free, to AFC Narnia. Guiseley, for **** sake!

1. He is a prize idiot with an appalling attitude both off AND on the pitch. Hence why someone of his ability is at "guiseley, for **** sake" rather than, say, a decent league 2 club.

2. Guiseley paid a fee.

Let's be positive. Ajala & Harrad cuptied, but Andre Wright isn't. Also - Heslop is cuptied for Wrexham .... ahhh, that's not being positive - they might bring in a youth trainee who will be more effective than Heslop ....

Come on folks, surely all the recent comings and goings have only been positive for the club, financially as well as on the pitch. Theoretically, with almost half a season still to go, we now have players capable of saving us from relegation at this level, at practically no extra expense. All that remains is for the manager to instill the right attitude into the squad, with self-confidence and a fighting spirit, and we'll have a footballing force to be reckoned with.

In fact this spirit has already been evident in recent games; we're already halfway there. A good run over the next couple of months should do the trick, and it's essential for all of us to give the lads our full support in all the remaining games.

River Allen, formr Plymourh midfirlder been released by Gateshead. Comes from down this way apparently. Anyine know anything about him. Worrh a look at??

Plymouth supporters on local rags website saying they would have him back. But they only released him in summer.

Devon born, quite a big lad for a midfielder (6ft 1in), has played at this level a little bit - could be an idea, useful (cost effective) addition as Midfield cover to replace the space that Heslop vacated

Yes indeed he is a Plymouth lad, was a good prospect but as normal with a BIG club like Plymouth

they fail in the development between youth team and first team.
Would be worth a look at and a good freind of Luke young when they were at Plymouth.

Not entirely sure, but he did score in a penalty shoot-out on his senior professional debut - so would seem to suggest he has plenty of character.
