This was a good win today. But like I have said before, i think we are already down. Every time we have a match, it becomes “win or we are down” and it’s been like that for the past month or so.
I just want us to win games between now and the end of the season and actually be enjoyable to watch, to set us up for next season.
If you think we really will stay up this season, but £5 on us to win every game left this season. You will make a pretty sum by the end of it.

Come on there's still a chance.

There is a chance, but it’s very slim. 14 games to go, and make up 8 points effectively whilst the team 5th from bottom has 2 games in hand. If we stay up this year, everything that has been said about Owers should be taken back. In fact, he should become Saint Gary if it happens.
But in my honest opinion, it’s too little too late.

Nothing to celebrate staying up

Well that was an improvement. Defence looked solid. Midfield passed the ball well. Forward line looked like they could score. Three well taken goals. Brett Williams effort, well saved by Barrow keeper, would have been a contender for Goal of the Season.. It's the hope that kills !
Oh for the Greatest Escape since the last Great Escape.
And pity the neighbourhood cat who was totally confused!!

If we were top at Christmas, I'd agree with you but we have been shit all season. If we stay up it would be cause for celebration as the alternative isn't worth thinking about
I went today and the second half performance has given a slight chink of light. I've never seen supporters throw abuse at their team for staying up. Would you rather went down??
P.S The support today was great.....I didn't see any of them pissed off that we won and gave us some hope

You don't have to be that great to win a match at this level at this stage of the season as we proved today! But we now have a chance having been though 38 players, we seem to have 11/12 who may give us a shout. Maidenhead away needs all our support!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me start by saying I am very pleased with todays win.
As Owers say's "long overdue". Well that goes without saying with 39 players signed up this season and over half of these (21 v 18) brought to the club after Nicho departure, Owers ought to be able to structure a team to bring us our 5th win in 32 matches.
Can we escape? If 50 points is the magical number then with 14 matches remaining it appears 9 wins is what we require (extra point is for goal difference). 'Hope Springs Eternal'.

If we keep Reid on the subs bench then I agree there is a glimmer, and I mean, a glimmer of hope- at best.

if we avoided relegation this season there will be many celebrating. Albeit we shouldn't be applauding a relegation survival. It would be some achievement to celebrate but unfortunately this team will have to avoid dropping 15 points from the remaining 14 fixtures to get 51 points. Not a chance

I could understand celebrating that first year. But being the third year in a row is rediculous. Very relived and would get very drunk if we did though

There will be nothing to celebrate. If we survive it is just going to be more of the same next season and it will remain like that as long as we have an owner who cares sod all for the club.
