Cheers Forever.
Looks like there'll be plenty of space. First game saw them attract 250 odd supporters!

They had three sent off yesterday, but that won't help us as apparently suspensions don't kick in for seven days at this level.

It was on BTPIR - the suspensions of the Oxford players will not kick in for 7 days, they will be able to play on Tuesday night.

Think you'll find it was only two red cards.

Does it matter? Can't we beat them regardless... zero relevance

It would be great if Mark can fill the coach for Tuesday.

Just going by the BBC scores page which has Godwin-Malife, Jefford & Ruddick getting reds. Doesn't matter anyway if they will all be available against us.

First game of the campaign for me! It’s nice to actually be looking forward to going rather than seeing it as a chore!!

I have just had a little nosey at their website, didn’t realise ex Gull Joe Oastler was playing for them.

Anyway, I hope we can keep the momentum going and Keating bags again, reckon it’ll be a tight one though!

From the FA website:

Premier League, English Football League, National League, WSL:

Red cards in first team competitive matches result in immediate suspension from forthcoming first team competitive matches. Red cards in non-first team matches will take effect from the 14th day following dismissal.

Clubs at Step 2 and below: Red cards in first team competitive matches result in suspensions commencing on the 7th day following the match in which the player was sent off. Red cards in non-first team matches will be processed by the County Association to which the Club is affiliated.

As I understand it 2 Oxford players were sent off against Woking each time due to 2 yellow cards. A third player being sent off due to a red card on the 65th minute as reported by some non-league stats places is simply wrong.
The latest part-time opponents started off with a 0-0 draw but have lost their last 2 games. The formation is likely to be 3-5-2 which is how they drew the first game. As we are quite good they might go for 3-5-1 as used against Woking.

Matt Paterson scored 28 goals last season and is already doing well again, having scored 2 v Woking. He takes penalties, free kicks and if in doubt they hoof it to him. The captain as mentioned elsewhere is former TUFC player Joe Oastler.

Opting to play with only 10 men against the better sides is certainly an innovative tactic. ;-)
